Unable to run 10K today, due to a 12 hour work day to follow. My body shuts down (ie nap) for about 2 hours and people tend to lose confidence in a pharmacist that is passed out behind the counter. Go figure.
Was going to do CFT but there wasn’t a trainer at the gym for 6am class so lifting heavy (for me) weights wasn’t best idea. Decided to do “Randy” – tomorrow’s workout.
I noticed a major difference between Katherine and I today. Our chickens got eaten again by a bobcat or something. Now she can’t think about eating chicken. I had chicken for lunch and now I don’t blame the animal that did it because it tasted so good.
Deadlifts: 185/5,225/3,315/5,335/3,335/1,335/1,335/1,340/1,345/1…. Frustrating… I hate going backwards….. Before death race I was doing 355/5 and could only get 335/3 today…. Really ticks me off. I know in a week or two I’ll be back to normal but still doesn’t make me feel better today.
Handstand pushups( head to ground every rep): 5,5,5,5,4
Still ticked about the deadlifts: 5 3 minute rounds of sparring….. Felt better afterwards
10K row to make up for 10K run I missed yesterday. Still nursing a sprained ankle from earlier this week so I row instead of run. Should be back to running late next week as long as I don’t keep twisting the damn thing.
43:44
My last cotton row was a little over 46 minutes.
Second 5K row was faster then the first by about a minute. I got into a groove.
Run 10k
45:36 at the cross country course, 22:15 or so at the half.
First time running out there… that gravel hill is brutal. I’ve definitely run up worse but not in a long time.
The course is actually just 3 miles right? So 6 total instead of 6.2?
If you run the loop around the obstacle course right at the start or end of the trail it adds the additional .1 miles to make 5k.
Not sure if I did or not, just followed the dirt path wherever it took me.
Actually I know I didn’t looking at my mile splits, so actual 10k time would’ve been closer to 47:00.
whatever 2 loops of the x country course including the finishing loop is (10k or 6m)
55:10
This is 5 minutes slower than my cotton row 10k time 1 month ago. The run felt good this morning, just slow.
“Randy”
75 pound Power snatch, 75 reps for time.

Don’t worry Karen, you can make that 10k up this weekend.
I was planning on it. Sometime between my round of golf and grilling out by the pool. :)
