I wanted to write on behalf of Russell, Campbell, and I to say thank you so, so, so much for the beautiful (and very humorous) card and the generous gift cards you guys collected for us. When Russell brought them in this morning, I actually started to cry reading the funny qoutes and looking through all of the nice things you guys got for us. This has been such a stressful time but we have been so blessed to have wonderful friends like you to help us get through it. I have truly missed being a part of CrossFit Huntsville over the past month or so. At first, I was just sad not to be able to exercise and see my friends, but now I realize how important it is to be home and off my feet for the sake of this little boy. At the same time, it is so nice to know that there are still people at CFHSV who are thinking of me and baby B and wishing us well. I miss you guys and I am so thankful to have you all in my life. I can’t wait for this baby to be here (in a few months–not now!) and to get back into the gym to see everyone. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers and for the generous gift!
Dang, nice total Russ. I hit 410. I killed the squats. I’ve been doing spinning workouts and cycle quit a bit, so I think that helped me a lot. The HSPU’s were’t bad, but definitely my limiting factor.
Really wanted a 300 but gamed the squats wrong. Slow and steady is the way to go. I used the blast and dust technique and hit the wall at 70, after that it was 2’s and 3’s between breaks. Think I had more pull ups in me but I let Russell’s repeated, “doesn’t count” get in my head.

Kev, I worked out with a Rugby player that did his widow maker with 280#. Dude was built like you. Have you ever done a 20 rep max at BS?
