I wanted to write on behalf of Russell, Campbell, and I to say thank you so, so, so much for the beautiful (and very humorous) card and the generous gift cards you guys collected for us. When Russell brought them in this morning, I actually started to cry reading the funny qoutes and looking through all of the nice things you guys got for us. This has been such a stressful time but we have been so blessed to have wonderful friends like you to help us get through it. I have truly missed being a part of CrossFit Huntsville over the past month or so. At first, I was just sad not to be able to exercise and see my friends, but now I realize how important it is to be home and off my feet for the sake of this little boy. At the same time, it is so nice to know that there are still people at CFHSV who are thinking of me and baby B and wishing us well. I miss you guys and I am so thankful to have you all in my life. I can’t wait for this baby to be here (in a few months–not now!) and to get back into the gym to see everyone. Thank you so much for all your thoughts and prayers and for the generous gift!

    80/5 handstands w/about 10 HSPU attempts=15 HSPU
    115 squats
8 pull-ups-not all chin to bar; it was freezing!!
    38 push-ups

  4. Mandee Miller says:

210 as rx’d (kipping handstand pushups)

  6. Katie says:

    190 (kipping HSPU)

  7. Daniel says:

    245 as rx’d

  8. Craig Herr says:

    228 as rx

  9. Russell says:

    As Rx’ed – 435

    110 HSPU (head to floor)
    200 Squats
    76 Pull ups
    49 Push-ups

Should have hit squats a bit harder. This hurt badly in the end.

Dang, nice total Russ. I hit 410. I killed the squats. I’ve been doing spinning workouts and cycle quit a bit, so I think that helped me a lot. The HSPU’s were’t bad, but definitely my limiting factor.

  10. Patrick says:

    As Rx: 286

    89 HSPU
    118 Squat
    45 Pull ups
    34 Push Ups

Really wanted a 300 but gamed the squats wrong. Slow and steady is the way to go. I used the blast and dust technique and hit the wall at 70, after that it was 2’s and 3’s between breaks. Think I had more pull ups in me but I let Russell’s repeated, “doesn’t count” get in my head.

  11. J.D. says:

    As rx’d: 270

    HSPU’s- 43
    Squats- 162
    Pull ups- 33
    Push ups- 32

Really started to fade on push ups. This one hit me everywhere, but I’m going to feel it in my lower back from all the kick ups.

And Russell- 435??? That is just totally SICK!

  12. dunnbball says:

    30 HSPU’s w/box and 1:30 HS Holds
    97 Squats
    12 Pull-Ups (15 but 3 didn’t get chin over bar)
    23 Push-Ups

    Total = 162

    yesterdays workout with Crossfit Vancouver:

    warm up:
    100 ft sampson lunge
100 ft inch worm with pushup at extension
    400 m run

Widow Makers – 20 reps back squat at 65-75% of single rep max
BS working up to set of 5 at heavy weight

    20 reps @165#

    Push press (1-1-1-1-1)

    Another good workout.

Todays workout is 10 runs down Whistler mountain on a snowboard! Awesome mountain!

Kev, I worked out with a Rugby player that did his widow maker with 280#. Dude was built like you. Have you ever done a 20 rep max at BS?
