I changed this workout from that recommended on the main site because we don’t have enough pairs of rings to run a class through it. Also, since none of our trainers we even really sure of what they movement was asking for, kicking off the 6AM with an “I think it means this” seemed like a bad idea. As well as the lack of Crash-pads available to us…
If this comes up again we will do it as Rx’ed, now that I can plan for it better. These movements are a challenge of balance, stability, and body-control, and have just as much place in our program as movements like handstands and L-sits.
My arms, shoulders and traps are frizzle fried!! I still can’t get my shirt off and you can forget about any movement which involves raising my arms over my head or much less raising my elbows anywhere close to parallel with the ground.
Barring some unforeseen tragedy, I plan to compete just for the shear hell of it. Hopefully I can get this myriad of nagging injuries at least somewhat healed by then. Will there be a frail, old and chubby category? Might be able to dominate.
34:20 – Great WOD. Best endorphine high I’ve had in a very long time.
Really focused on maintaining active shoulders on the handstands which helped tremendously. Unfortunately I didn’t figure out that little useful tidbit until the third round.
I know this is going to hurt bad over the next 48 hours but it is a good hurt : )
This one was scaled to the point it was almost unrecognizable.
3 rounds with ring-rows and the final 2 rounds with LOTS of kipping.
Push-ups
And then about 100 attempts for the handstand. I know I can get up there, I just don’t like the upside-down feeling. Ick.
Excellent job coming up with a reasonable sub for that Main site foolishness.
Thanks.
No Kidding, what’s next? Uneven parallel bars? 🙂

2010 Crossfit Games website is alive.

Looks like Sectionals are Mar. 6-7 at Brahan Springs Park
SE Regionals are May 15-16, location TBA
I think I’d like to compete in the Sectionals simply for the experience. Is anyone else thinking about competing?
I will be competing! It’s a lot of fun and it is great getting to know other Crossfitters from around the area.

3 rounds or so with regular push-ups…I basically quit counting.
I was just happy to get my first handstand! Managed to hold it for about 30 sec at one point.
I am already having problems lifting my arms ….tomorrow should be fun.
