Great article from Popular science that shows what happens when you heel-strike!

    Home Gym WOD:

With a continuously running clock and no breaks:

    10 minutes handstand pushups = 35
    5 minutes of squats = 153
    2 minutes of pullups = 43
    1 minute of pushups = 25

    Total = 256

I wanted to make this WOD up since I didn’t do it in January.

    6 rounds + 6 WBS as rx’d

Great article, I’m forwarding this to all my tri buddies who keep buying the bulky Asics or Newton and wonder why they stay injured. I’m still not a fan of Newton’s. They may put the runner on the balls of their feet but it doesn’t teach the technique, but maybe it’s a start.
Thanks for taking the time to teach Pose today, I think it was really beneficial to those who haven’t or unable to take the class from David.

5 rds + 15 KBS- Holy Main Site Rest Day WOD!! Good one…
    Hello REST WEEKEND!!!

    as rx’d

    6 full + 15 kb and 10 burpees

    3 rounds + 15 KB + 10 Burpees as Rx’d

Good article even for a non-runner like me. Have heard for years that children shouldn’t wear hard soled baby shoes when learning to walk, their feet don’t have flexibility to move properly. Article shows the same should hold true for running at any age. Not trying to make a religious point, but that’s probably why we’re not born with shoes on.

Great WOD even if my pose running went to shit after the 1st round.

    4 rounds + 15 KBS + 10 burpees as rx’d

6 EVEN as rx’d…5th day straight, rest tomorrow unless its too good to resist. Most likely rest!!!! I will be at the gym at 8:30 to start taking bodyfat. I encourage everyone to make it in for measurements, even if its not your day to come. We will be choosing the winner! My schedule is very hectic during the week and this will be the best opportunity to get everyones bodyfat done. If its your desire to start the challenge, Lesha will also be there taking bodyfat. Good Luck!

Felt tired again today. I’m hoping this downturn subsides quickly. Definitely not 100%

  12. J.D. says:

    4 rounds, 15kbs, 10 burpees, and 180m as rx’d. Ran out of time. I hate burpees…

  13. Craig Herr says:

The shooting at UAH is tragic. I checked with the UAH Hockey coach and all the players are safe.

  14. Barry S says:

4 + 4 KB as Rx…right there with ya on the burpees, JD!

    Congratulations to the married couple!

Yes it’s been a day of extremes. Anyone hear about the Olympic athlete from Georgia who died in warmup today? The organizers are partly to blame for that one. Six massive steel posts right on a dangerous corner, inches from the Luge track, and unpadded. The 21 year old athlete hit the post at more than 90mph.

Just shy of 5 rounds – missed by about 20 meters
