Took a cab to the gym this morning…..guy pulls up to the warhouse…no one is there so I ask if he can wait a few minutes and was like “NO!”…he slings the door open and I try to pay and he just throws my card back at me…..and I asked if he could come back in an hour and he just screams “NO NO NO!!” So he flies off and I am stuck sitting outside in the dark……alone for like 15 min because my cabbie thought I was a crack whore or something 🙂 very strange……he was American too. A nice guy from the gym took me back to my hotel afterward to save me any cabbie drama.
Had nothing left after the first one. One of my least favorite workouts.
I thought it was going to be hell today, but it was actually quite fun! After a good skill warm-up on rings, kb, kipping, strict pullups, etc, Chief Lawrance put up the WOD:
132 push press
132 box jump
132 kb swings
132 push ups
THEN he told us to team up in groups of 3…we’d all run together, & when the last person got back we’d each do 44 of the exercise organized any way we wanted (some folks did each person straight through for all 44; we split everything up into 3 rounds of 15, 15, & 14).
Used 75# on the push press; the box jumps were probably about 20″ (we don’t actually have any boxes…just jump from the dirt up to the sidewalk around the building); I used 1.5 pood kb for all 3, while my teammates used 1 pood for the 1st 2 rounds and the 1.5 for the last one.
Team time = 33:25!

Rowing isn’t my forte, along with running, and wallball shots and box jumps. Funny how that list just keeps getting longer and longer! But I CAN take muscle ups off the list! WOO HOO!!
Got off work early and had a little time before we hit the road to the in-laws, so I ran the 3mile Greenway in Hamp Cove (same one we ran for last weekend’s 5K.) Mostly shaded, thank goodness-it was HOT at 3pm-but rough on the sinuses! 😉
longest work day ever…..even blocked off from 4pm – 6pm so that I could make the evening WOD. Didn’t get out of there until 7:15.
I continue to be amazed about just how irritable I get when I miss a WOD. I guess I really am “addicted” to the endorphines
