Did straight Helen Rx’d in 16:18. That’s a 1:57 PR from last time (in March I think). I guess the strict Paleo-zone is starting to pay off. My next hurdle is to improve my abysmal running times.
Straight Helen here as well. Finished in 10:16, first round unbroken, second round would have been had I not slipped off the bar, and third round was 15-6 on the KB’s and don’t even remember what it was on the pulls. Nice to have another one of the girls done.
13:09 scaled to 800/42/21, 400/21/12, 200/15/7
All rounds of kb unbroken. Sweating so much it was tough to hold on to the bar for pullups. Probably should have done it rx’d, but scaling seems to be the cool thing to do.
Today’s WOD as Rxd = 22:28
Very Humbling experience after watching in person the world’s finest complete this in sub 20’s, 18’s and even 16’s.
My answer is to just keep on crossfitting and have Russell, Jake, and Tracey keep on schooling me, correcting my deficiencies and building my weaknesses.
Looking forward to tomorrow! Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! OkieDB
Handstand day here in lovely Iraq:
3x15sec tripod and frog
3×15 HSPU pike off the box
handstands:
3x15sec
2x30sec
1x1min (ok, only got 45 sec, but that’s my longest yet!)
played around a bit w/HSPU using band support off the bars…definitely need green band!
Helen rx’d 11:41. kb swings unbroken, still looking for my groove on kpu’s. Thanks to Susan who stayed to watch me and make sure that I didn’t die in the heat. LOL
GREAT JOB CHRIS! he did todays wod at lunch class and did it sub 20:00( can’t remember) He also needs help with kpu’s. Chris does a very strict pull up version of a kpu. LOL still killed it today!!!!!
CFFB has done it’s job for me. Strength numbers have improved a good bit, 400m sprint is getting better every time I do one, and everything further than 400m goes
to shit. The second and third runs were terrible. Everything else was unbroken.
12:54 Helen. Nearly 4 mins off my PR 9:05. It’s been a rough month. Ots nice to see Robert hit his stride though. Second time in a row he whopped me in a workout.
Helen-rx’ed-first time
16:10 Kbs unbroken, but trying to get in the groove of the kpus and linking them. Once the hands are torn, it’s like mentally, I’m shot!
Thanks to Tracey for her jogs with us on the 400m runs. It really helped, and the consistent coaching and encouragement was great in the heat!!
Sooo hot. Helen scaled with Ring Rows and a 12kg kb (instead of 16.) 14:19. I went back & looked and on 8 March I did Helen scaled with JPU’s and finished in 11:55. That was before it was over 100 degrees on the runs and I was only about 5 weeks along – so I’m okay with the increase in time… and lord knows my running is WAY slow these days! 😉 And, YES, thank you Tracey for the constant encouragement and running out there with us. Again, great coaching!
I need one of those decals… where they at?
they sell them in the store on the main site.
I have several somewhere….just lost them in the move. Need to buy more I guess.
27:37 rx
This is probably the only event from the games I could do rx. Forearm burn. Felt good to grind this one out.

15:51 Scaled 800/42/21; 400/21/12; 200/15/7 all with 1.5 pood
Good work Larry, way to grind it out. That was nasty as rx’d

16:39 scaled to 800/42/21 – 400/21/12 – 200/15/7
I kept slipping off the bar, so I could have possibly done it faster. Not bad for an “orange band” I guess.

Chris crushed this WOD. Impressive to watch. Once he gets his kipping pullup in order I’m betting on a 18 minutes for him.
“Helen” as rx’d

I bought that on the main site a few weeks ago when I ordered some shirts. They have some great stuff in the main site store.

This is actually better than a year ago when my knees were more functional. Not great, but not horrible. My goal remains a sub 10.
