  1. Larry Lowe says:

    as rx’ed

(7/101) 9 fewer reps than last time.

    31, 16, 13, 12, 12, 10, 7

I could only find one running shoe this morning, so I had to run in my Toms (or my chinese orphan shoes as Russell calls them). As flat as they are, they force you in to Pose. Heel strikes don’t feel too great.

  2. Jakub Sikorski says:

    As Rx’d 7/107 PR (30-17-15-14-13-12-6)
Last “Nicole” was 6/84. 30 linked PU is a PR as well (previous PR was 18).

  3. Daniel says:

‘Nicole’ tore my ankle and hobbled me for weeks last time I tried to take her. I’m looking forward to dominating this lady today.

  4. tracey says:

As Rx’d 7/31 (still working hard at pull ups) 4-5-5-5-5-2-5.

  5. Justin says:

    7 + 320m / 87 pullups
    20-16-12-12-12-12-3
Ripped my hand open in round 6 on the racket tape which led to only 3 pullups in round 7
    My pullups still suck

  6. Patrick says:

Jakub is becoming the new CFHSV beast.
    Sub’d 400m row for run.
6 rounds/101 p.u. – think I had 10 more pull ups in me but time ran out and shifting around on the bar to avoid more tearing made for an interesting challenge.

Need a name for the cool glove thing (see yesterdays picture):
How about: Hanpon (Sorry ladies I couldn’t resist)

  7. Clint says:

    LOL@Hanpon

Jakub is a beastly dude for sure. I was lucky enough to work in with him last week on the hang power clean routine. Surely a stong guy.

  8. JeffWomble says:

    As Rx’d, 6 rounds/ 90 pull ups.
    30-13-15-15-13-4

30 linked pull-ups is a PR for me. The last time I did Nicole was back in March (my second week of Crossfit). I only managed 6 rounds with 47 pull ups then.

  9. Will Blankenship says:

    6 rounds, 61 pullups

My hand ripped at round 3… after that I turned into a panzy ass and my pullups dropped off the map.

I need another razor blade, Kevin.

  10. Larry Lowe says:

X-Acto blades work great if you don’t have access to surgery tools.

  11. Robert Montgomery says:

8 Rounds / 93 Pull Ups 22,11,16,13,10,6,10,5(had more in me on this round but ran out of time)

  12. joe c says:

6 rounds 15,12,12,10,10,11(70 pr). could have done better busy work week long week not enough rest. still can;t get the kip down..

  13. Daniel says:

86, 6 rounds. Went a little slow on the runs. Should have been 7 rounds and in the nineties.

    30, 15, 13, 12, 10, 6

  14. Daniel says:

Great job running the lunch class Kat.

  15. Jake Naumcheff says:

Hey everyone, I haven’t had a chance to meet most of you yet, today was my 2nd day to work out with the class and im loving it so far. Looking forward to getting to know everyone soon.

    As Rx’d: 6 rounds +110 PU (22-20-20-17-16-15) Huge PR

  16. Mandee Miller says:

    5 rounds + 200m run
    14 – 15 – 10 – 11 – 11 = 61 (PR)

  17. Amy Tankesley says:

    6 rounds + 200 m. 40 pull ups

  18. Katherine Berger says:

Way to go Mandee!!! And great work today Amy!

    7 rounds, 200m. 49 pullups

PR in the rain!!! I think I was doing weighted pullups by the third round–hehe! But at least it was cool!

  19. Katherine Berger says:

    And thanks Daniel!!! 🙂

  20. Katie says:

    6 rounds + @350M / 52 Pullups (PR)

I am happy with a PR but felt mentally drained today after a long week at work, plus 2 whole days with my boss riding with me… waa waa waa.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE ATHLETES COMPETING TOMORROW AT THE GEORGIA FITNESS CHALLENGE! HAVE A GREAT TIME AND GIVE IT ALL YA GOT!

  21. Tricer says:

6 rounds/70 pullups . 12 fewer than last time. Double training by running in the mornings is wearing me out.

  22. Michael says:

    7 rounds / 90 pullups

Slightly less than last time but doing this the day after Cindy SUCKS PRETTY BAD.

  23. Katherine Berger says:

Good luck to all of you who are competing tomorrow in Georgia!!! And good luck to Russell at his level 2 cert! Hopefully they will see what an amazing trainer we have in Huntsville, Alabama!!!

  24. James Lambert says:

    5 rounds 56 Pullups

  25. Slade White says:

    as rx’ed

    (7/70) + 400m

  26. klowe says:

Did the GA fitness challenge thing today. Thought I was “viral” before the WOD. Crappy feeling yesterday, head ache, etc…..Did the WOD this morning…..feel like a bus ran over me now…..yep. Definitely sick. (My kids have the unparalleled ability to pass sickness prior to CF events). Anyway. Performance was mediocre at best but I had a great time seeing all the GA crossfit peeps. Wendy and Big Robb also made the trip and it was really nice seeing them again.
Hudson, Leah, Katie all did great! Hudson in particular SMOKED IT! Leah pushed through severe shin pain after a miss on the box jumps. it just looked like it hurt!
Very cool seeing the CFHSV’rs busting it!

    WOD was
    500m row (setting 10)
    40 18″ box jumps
    30 1.5pd KBS
    20 Burpees
    10 85# Thrusters
    5 tire flips
    ….for time

-once again pacing the row is essential and once again I did not follow my own strategy. I got caught up in what the guy next to me was doing and sped up my row pace to 1:33-1:35 which smoked my legs for the box jumps. Couldn’t link them together worth a crap which usually is not a problem for me. KBS and Burpees were easy and the thrusters were much harder than they needed to be. Never dreamed that I needed 3 sets to complete 10 85# thrusters…… pathetic.

Overall experience was great though. I love getting to see all the other CF kidz and competition is always fun.

Congrats to the CFHSV crew on their first CF comp!!!

  27. Courtney Meyers says:

4 rounds (w/ 25 jumping pull ups per round) + 400m and 15 jumping pull ups

  28. Katie says:

The Georgia Fitness Challenge was a lot of fun! Being my first competition, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Like Kevin said, I did not pace myself at all on the row and think that took a lot of energy out of me, because box jumps felt like hell. I had a hard time catching my breath throughout the WOD, but still managed to finish first out of the females for my heat. Ended up at 10:28. For comparison, the fastest female, Mariah Provost, was 6:35 (or so). Brandon Phillips killed it for the males at 4:55. Josh and Caleb (my husband and brother in law) both ended around 6:23 (or so).

Leah, Kevin and Hudson all did really awesome. Congrats to everyone!
