I’m thankful every day for all you active duty servicemen & veterans, and for the service and sacrifices that you have made for my safety and freedom.

May 09/11 just be one day of many throughout the year(s) that we reflect and remember how ultimate some sacrifices have been.

Thank you ALL for your service, and God Bless the United States of America!!!

  2. Daniel says:

RIP Jason, and thank you. I will bust my ass in your honor. I hope I see “Pukie”. Great workout. I look forward to it.

  3. Kerri says:

Suffering, yet giving it our all through the WOD is the least we can do, right? (Giving self pep-talk here……) No Pukie, please, no Pukie…..

  4. Justin says:

My WOD today is to beat this virus.
    So far. Virus is winning.
Does H1N1 have GI symptoms as well? Not severe…just feel crappy

  9. Will Blankenship says:

Not gonna make this one today. Central unit went out last night and the AC repair guys will be there at about 1pm to run one up my…. yayah.

24:56 with 115# deadlift. I hate working out in the morning =( It makes everything harder.

  13. Daniel says:

    17:59 as Rx’d. Brutal.

Why didn’t you call me Will? Show some love for your Crossfit workout partner. I’ll fix whatever ails your house next time.

  14. Slade White says:

For those of you that did as Rx’d, you rock. This was not an easy WOD. I thought I was going too light at first….I was wrong.

Scaled deadlift at 225 lbs. Legs still not recovered from earlier in the week. Wasn’t getting low enough in my squat and was doing “stripper” deadlifts. My back is probably going to let me know about it in the morning.

I always have and always will have the utmost respect for those in the armed forces. They are taken for granted……

  15. Slade White says:

Yes Daniel, but will you run one up his yayah?????

  16. Clint says:

    Great workout:
    I subbed row for run
22:28 Rx weight I don’t feel I performed well but the workout was crushing.
Great job everyone. All my Veterans and active service members God Bless.

20:13 @ 135# …that seemed heavy for me. Its those first 4-6 inches that suck ! (of the DL) other than that I felt great:)

  18. Garth says:

Got a WOD in yesterday at CF Revolution in Tampa.
    Overhead squats
    Good OHS WOD and practice.
Not back in HSV until later in the week.
    Have fun.

  19. Daniel says:

Yeah. For Will and Slade it’s double.

  20. Katherine Berger says:

    Heavy Heavy Heavy. Ugh.

But well worth it when I thought of who we were doing this workout for. Gave me a new perspective on hero workouts.

  21. Patrick says:

Finally got the okay to do something more strenuous than “keep your head forward looking at the floor”.

Did a Starting Strength-ish work out. Each exercise done at 70% 1RM 5×8

    BS 185-175-175(6)-175-175
Bench Press 135-135-135-135-135 have no idea my 1RM on bench press, seemed very light.
DL 245-245(5)-245(5)-245(5)-245(5) these are much more difficult done with metal plates and lowered softly to the platform to avoid “dropping the weight”

Tried to rest 2-3 min between set. This took forever. 30-45 min of standing around.

Today was my first time in a GloboGym is yrs. Apparently, my wife has a family membership at Benders 24/7 in Madison as a job perk. Very clean, very tidy, lots of treadmills, elipticals and tanning booths. Not a kettlebell, C2, GHD, bumper plate, plyo box or ring to be found. It was horrible.

    I miss the tribe.

    Bishop John F. Kinney

On duty today, so this one was at the NASA gym.

Scaled the DL to 205, ran on the treadmill for two rounds and rowed 500M on the last one because all of the treadmills were in use.

  23. Robert Montgomery says:

    Shoulder Press – 1-1-1
    Snatch 1-1-1
    C &J 1-1-1

    SNATCH- 135-145 but ugly, 145 F

C&J- 165-175-185 (pr for jerk but not for clean. My jerk is weaker than my clean)

    115# Push Press Max Reps x1 = 20 reps

  24. Russell says:

    As Rx’ed – 12:21

( probably 12:30, there was a second there where my timer was stopped by accident )

  25. Zak says:

    As Rx’ed – 16:08

  26. zora says:

    20. 12 (I been told I ran more distance I suppose to run so my time should be little less)

  27. Tricer says:

18:10 @ 205# Sincere respect for S.S. Dahlke. My thoughts are with you and your family.

  28. Daniel says:

    Wow. Great effort Russell.

  29. Hudson Slater says:

17:24 @ 225#. Impressive work Russel, and anyone that did this workout as Rxd. We are forever greatful for men like Jason. Our prayers are with his family.

  30. Larry Lowe says:

Did this at home in my yard.

    30.08 as rx’ed.

I knew I was going to do this after work, and all day I was thinking about where i would scale . Once it came time to do the workout I looked at all the plates Kevin gave me and they totaled 275. I knew I needed to feel the pain, so I loaded it up and off I went. I had to move the bar every three reps to keep it from digging to far into the dirt in my yard. My ipod was dead. This was actually a blessing because I spent most of the run thinking about Jason and all the other heros out there. Thanks to all of you that made significantly greater sacrifices than I will ever know.

  31. Katherine Berger says:

Way to go Russell! I wish I had been able to stick around to see that! That is faaast!

  32. Katie says:

  33. Russ says:

Jason D – 19:27 at 205 lbs. 225 will not be problem next time.
