    I’m thankful every day for all you active duty servicemen & veterans, and for the service and sacrifices that you have made for my safety and freedom.

    May 09/11 just be one day of many throughout the year(s) that we reflect and remember how ultimate some sacrifices have been.

    205 scaled @ 16:56 my prayers go out to your family jason. Let us all pray for all the lost man and women in 911. I know for my self living in N.Y. the worst day i have ever lived and never will forget. great job jakub and justin.

    My WOD today is to beat this virus.

    Does H1N1 have GI symptoms as well? Not severe…just feel crappy

    For those of you that did as Rx’d, you rock. This was not an easy WOD. I thought I was going too light at first….I was wrong.

    Scaled deadlift at 225 lbs. Legs still not recovered from earlier in the week. Wasn’t getting low enough in my squat and was doing “stripper” deadlifts. My back is probably going to let me know about it in the morning.

    I always have and always will have the utmost respect for those in the armed forces. They are taken for granted……

    20:13 @ 135# …that seemed heavy for me. Its those first 4-6 inches that suck ! (of the DL) other than that I felt great:)

    Got a WOD in yesterday at CF Revolution in Tampa.
    Overhead squats
    10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1
    115#.
    Good OHS WOD and practice.
    Not back in HSV until later in the week.
    Have fun.

    But well worth it when I thought of who we were doing this workout for. Gave me a new perspective on hero workouts.

    Finally got the okay to do something more strenuous than “keep your head forward looking at the floor”.

    Did a Starting Strength-ish work out. Each exercise done at 70% 1RM 5×8

    BS 185-175-175(6)-175-175
    Bench Press 135-135-135-135-135 have no idea my 1RM on bench press, seemed very light.
    DL 245-245(5)-245(5)-245(5)-245(5) these are much more difficult done with metal plates and lowered softly to the platform to avoid “dropping the weight”

    Tried to rest 2-3 min between set. This took forever. 30-45 min of standing around.

    Today was my first time in a GloboGym is yrs. Apparently, my wife has a family membership at Benders 24/7 in Madison as a job perk. Very clean, very tidy, lots of treadmills, elipticals and tanning booths. Not a kettlebell, C2, GHD, bumper plate, plyo box or ring to be found. It was horrible.

    I miss the tribe.

    On duty today, so this one was at the NASA gym.

    Scaled the DL to 205, ran on the treadmill for two rounds and rowed 500M on the last one because all of the treadmills were in use.

    C&J- 165-175-185 (pr for jerk but not for clean. My jerk is weaker than my clean)

    30.08 as rx’ed.

    I knew I was going to do this after work, and all day I was thinking about where i would scale . Once it came time to do the workout I looked at all the plates Kevin gave me and they totaled 275. I knew I needed to feel the pain, so I loaded it up and off I went. I had to move the bar every three reps to keep it from digging to far into the dirt in my yard. My ipod was dead. This was actually a blessing because I spent most of the run thinking about Jason and all the other heros out there. Thanks to all of you that made significantly greater sacrifices than I will ever know.
