Thanks, Aaron!! I’m still debating if it’s a good idea for me to attempt it in this afternoon’s heat (news said the index will be 105-110 this afternoon and I’m not sure if it’s smart for a pregger a week shy of 7mo to attempt in that kind of heat), but I may go and at least speed walk it for 30 minutes while everyone else is running since I’ve been hydrating since last night! Better than nothing, I guess… Just hard to tell myself “no!”
20:41, nice course. I hung with Aaron until the hill on the way back and he just out ran me there and kept a comfortable lead from that point on. I know I can run faster, but a weekend of wakeboarding and tubing took it’s toll.
Joe I would actually suggest that your stretching could have caused you to pull your hamstring. Pre-workout stretching causes muscles to weaken for roughly 10-15 minutes and is a great way to get hurt. For next time, I’d suggest a more movement-based warmup with some dynamic stretching instead.
35:38- about 3:20 off my PR for the CCC. My PR was in February….then, I had a running buddy that had a good pace (ahem, she’s now 7 months pregnant), and helped me set mine. =o) Way to get out there and give it your best today Tasha! That took some real uumph!
Today I felt really good (although obviously I wasn’t fast),all the way down and then back to the hill…..then, it’s like I just fell apart.
Great Behind the Games video….gets the adrenaline pumping again, just watching it, even though the Games are already over!!
Sorry, it’s posted on mainsite. Just awesome.
Quick question – meeting at the gym or at the course?
6 & 7am classes met at the course.

One of my slowest 5k times in quite a while. lower legs still wrecked from the long hill run on Saturday.
32:51 or something slow like that. I feel for the afternoon classes.
20:29
30 plus seconds slower than PR, but that’s ok. I’m planning on going at 75-85% this week since the Faction games are this weekend.
Congrats to Ryan on setting a new PR. He finished 23:10, over 1 minute faster than his previous PR.

2 1/2 min off pr – it was hot
24:16
2 minutes off PR. I am continually getting slower.
What season/temp was it when you PR’ed at the cc course? Keep in mind that allergies and heat/humidity make this run harder during this time of year.
PR was September of last year, so it was probably a little cooler.
I got steadily slower as well. Came into x fit at 21:50 on cc then got as slow as 25’s. Ran a 23+ recently though.
Daniel we have talked about what you were doing wrong and why you were likely getting slower.
You are right and my times improved again when I paid attention to diet and rest.

About 2 minutes off of pr. Low back started cramping at about a mile. Not sure if it was poor hydration or what, but it sucked.
26:00 very very very very slow for me. Did not stretch long enough and pulled my hamstring.

-1 min off of PR but 1.5min faster than 1 month ago
ran at 12:30 – so friggin’ hot
24:40 – at least a minute maybe more off my PR.

Nice and hot outside today

I’ve finally quit sweating about 45 minutes later. Good, hearty sweat today!
29:52 PR since that was my first time to run our course. I skipped 5K WODs until today…
Way to be a trooper Ron…..-bout time! =o)
26:30, & that included about 3 minutes of walking…most of the last mile was intervals (30s walk, 1 min run)…blaming the humidity!
