One day, a REAL pull-up…..
Practiced Muscle Ups today by breaking the exercise into its individual movements (per Josh’s instruction). This helped a lot today. Also practiced muscle ups on the bar. Actually finally got some on the bar. PR for me.
I alternated 3-5 jumping pull ups and 3-5 assisted ring dips for 30 minutes. I have no idea how many reps I did of each. My chest is killing me right now though.
Horrible day – excited to tackle this one and beat my old best of 17 in 35 minutes – linked first two (good news), did next two with no problem – sitting at 2:15. Attempted 5th at 3:00 minute mark and felt a little tweak in elbow. Mental failure – couldn’t get anywhere close to another one. Failed on 7 or 8 more, grabbed my little girls and went home for a yummy ZONE dinner. Of course, talking to Trice i did realize this was only my fourth workout in a month….hmmmmm

Today was outstanding! This was my first time even attempting a muscle up, and I was able to get 27 of them done in 39:40. Not exactly breaking any land speed records, but I was amped to be able to do MU’s on my first try.
120 Good ol jumping pull ups (did 5 KPUs for every 10 jpu after rep 50) and 120 good ol ring dips w/toe on the box. 32:05- Another day of not writing it in my book, so, again, this is off of memory.
Making a rare appearance, Garth does his MUs in 6:57. My first PR in a while. It was nice to get it on a WOD I enjoy. My kipping was better.
And again, he was gone….

DNF’d @ 11 muscle-ups. Very disappointing. Totally lost my technique and my cool. Need to work on this exercise. No excuse for today.
