QOD: Were you physically active prior to starting CrossFit? How did your sport or fitness routine prepare you for CrossFit? How was it lacking?

Greetings CFHSV CrossFitters,
First and foremost a great big congratulations to KLowe and family on a wonderful new gift of life to their family and the world. My heart, prayers and blessings go out to you.
Second I would like to say that CFHSV is blessed with some great CrossFitters and CF trainers, thanks for all your inspiration.
As most of you know CF trainers Level 1 or Level 2 have to take the new CF written test for and to maintain trainer credentialing. Well I had a spectacular opportunity to go and update my trainer abilities under the watchful eye of the CrossFit Certification Staff Team that Russell Berger works on, yes our very own. In short, when someone is in their element and they flow in a supreme professional fashion by demonstrating, teaching, correcting, interacting, and coaching at the top of their game, that would be Russell at a CF certification setting the gold medal standard. Thanks for all your help and excellent job Russell.
I must also thank my combat CrossFit buddy Penelope that kept me motivated and did a tremendous job as she earned her CF Level 1 Trainer Cert. Great Job Penelope.
Snake and 232, we did do FRAN and I am getting closer, pulled a 3:29 as RXd under Jenni Orr’s eye and Russell buzzing around motivating me as well. Still have work to do, especially with a stone.
Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive!
Congrats Kevin, that is great news! Hope everyone is happy and healthy.
Great work this weekend from Dennis and Penelope this weekend at the ATL CrossFit level 1 cert. Way to represent our box. You guys are my business cards and any time any of our members show up to a competition, certification, or even just stop by another affiliate, I always hear about the great impressions you all leave on the trainers and coaches that you work with.
thanks again!
Oh yeah and yesterday’s workout I did on Saturday-
13 rounds + 13 reps
Intentionally paced this one because the last time I did it was so terrible I was nervous about it. Took long breaks between every round. It was much easier this time since last time I was just coming down with swine-flu hell prior to the 09 games.

Lots of PRs today in the 4 pm class today.
Also fun to watch Russell murder Linda today!
