I somehow managed to get my ass out of bed to do this in the AM. Only 4 hrs of sleep, no breakfast and overall 10 seconds better than last time. My times were more consistent this time, instead of getting progressively slower.
3:33-3:48-4:03 @ 11:30 class…I had to leave and pick up my lil’ man at pre-k, so i felt rushed and didnt rest long between sets. (only did 3 rounds). IT WAS FRIKIN HOT!!!!!!!
Missed out on the run (…..dang) b/c I did not know where to go. GI issues led me to the Matrix. Had the place all to myself and decided to make up “JT”

Got a nasty look from a Matrix staff member……I guess b/c I had my shirt off.
Whatev….
My shirt off comment was a stab at why we were asked to leave rumor. Apparently the cheerleader moms were uncomfortable with sweaty CF men not wearing shirts.
We left because I wanted us to leave, and we ran at the track right next to our new place just to see how we liked it. So far everyone seems 50/50 on it.
I vote for that track. It beats running in circles. Plus, it is football season now, so the team is out there at 5:15. I know because I was waiting for everyone for a while there until I realized where you all were.
The track near the gym seems shorter then HH. I’m a bit slow because of this ankle, but it seems as if there were way more people then usual getting lower times then me on the runs.
Got out the gps to figure out how far half a mile was in the neighborhood.
2:56 – 3:04 – 3:10 – 2:53
800m is a miserable distance. I felt good for the first 400 or so, but the last 400 was awful every time.
3:47, 3:45,3:55, and 3:50- Thanks Kat for helping me keep up a good pace; at least with your great time, you had time to cheer me in the door each time…..:)
Matrix Moms stare at the sweaty shirtless fellas, Warehouse workers stare at the sweaty CF chicks; what gives?….. I guess it’s true, men really do like sweat!
Did this one at home to be at work EARLY.
4:01 – 3:55 – 3:49 – 4:00
This was lightening speed for me. I run like a tree.
For anyone who needs to measure a distance for a run, try this site: http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/.
Gina and I went to Matrix to make up Tabata something else while Kaity was in gymnastics. We were reminded by at least 3 staff members “you know they moved don’t you?” Duh…….anyway
Gina – Pull up 16,13,10,10,10,9,7,10 =85 (jumping)
Push up 15,9,7,7,7,6,7,4 = 55
Sit up 10,11,9,10,8,9,9,9 = 75
Squat 11,11,10,10,10,8,9,12 = 81 Total of 296
Jason – Pull up 16(tweaked elbow), 7,f,f,f,f,f,f = 23
Push up 22,6,11,5,8,9,6,8 = 75
Sit up 17,13,12,10,10,9,8,10 = 89
Squat 20,20,15,14,16,12,13,20 = 130 Total of 317
I noticed on the main site people having a Tabata score at the end. How do you figure that out? I saw numbers from 20’s to 49 and the mention of an almost perfect 50.
CF people are just rebels…compared to the treadmill mom’s!!! I find it funny, that a woman with ovaries, would find a shirtless guy offensive.
Kevin, you will have to share which staffer gave the ugly look. I bet i can guess. 🙂
The coach at Crossfit Vancouver told me that the Tabata score is the lowest number in each of the 8 rounds per exercise. I think the perfect 50 is the sum of the lowest reps achieved during each exercise. For you it would be 33. For Gina it would be 28.
We were doing Tabata squats up there and I was trying to get the max number out of all 8 rounds. Everyone else was trying to get the same number each round. My numbers ranged from 24 to 11. I noticed everyone else stopping short just before the timer. They were trying to get 16 each round.
I worked out prior to Kevin’s perfomance and surely got the look. Oh well I look at Crossfit’s move as a necessary evil. We are not people that belong in a gym like the Matrix. Russell moved us for the protection of the public.
I tried a Crossfit workout at a regular gym and was asked to leave. Apparently I made the staff nervious while doing a FRAN. After I pulled myself from the floor, I noticed all eyes were glued to my performance. I chuckled and walked out knowing that the majority of the people barely breaking a sweat, just can’t hang with our program.
Oh well…there is a reason WORLDS, GOLDS, 24 Hour Fitness and places like these do not support Crossfit. They are completely opposite business models.

Maybe it was because of your GI issue.
Or where your “GI Issue” took place!!
It was great to meet Katie’s husband. He is a great guy and I am very glad he is in town now to help.
3:20 – 3:14 – 3:12 – 3:13
3:04,3:01, 3:10,
Had to leave to pick up Campbell… Oh well….fun while it lasted!

who knows….but if true….that is soooo ghey.
We left because I wanted us to leave, and we ran at the track right next to our new place just to see how we liked it. So far everyone seems 50/50 on it.
Ran over on the HH soccor fields… the football field was busy. ~3.5 min/round.
3:04, 2:57, 2:54, 3:06.

Hahah! I noticed that…a bit creepy when warehouse workers are smoking cigarettes by their trucks and leering as you run past 🙂
Daniel, I know you would like that to be the case, but we measured the 800m with your own measuring tool…. 🙂
On the Marriott treadmill
3:01, 3:06, 3:07, 3:05
It took the treadmill 25 seconds to get up to speed. This workout was horrible.
Russell made that last comment Daniel!
daniel it was measured by the wheel, not sure what to tell you. Come run it next time and you can compare to your track times.
I like the new running course, it’s flat and close to both gyms. Not much traffic either.
2:38, 2:58, 2:59, 2:53
I could definitely feel the deadlifts.
My brother smoked me:
2:20, 2:28, 2:37, 2:29
Now if I can only get him to come over to Crossfit.
It’s a conspiracy ! 😉

Russell, is this correct?
at home:
4:13, 3:37, 4:12, 3:35
first and third runs identical with two hills,
second and fourth identical and mostly downhill.
Not completely sure the distances are right- but had to knock it out before a trip to b-ham yesterday.
I worked out prior to Kevin’s perfomance and surely got the look. Oh well I look at Crossfit’s move as a necessary evil. We are not people that belong in a gym like the Matrix. Russell moved us for the protection of the public.
