Crosfitters are reputed to be great about rallying around their own in times of need, I’ve heard. In that spirit, right about now would be a great time to remind me I’m truly far too youthful, energetic, vigorous, and handsome to be a grandfather…sigh… ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Josh Kennedy says:

Did this one from gym near my house, scaled to 95#, 10:38.

I hear some folks did it from the CFHSV parking lot? Wow, extra heat training…

    • Eric Hedges says:

Keeping up with the bar on the uneven concrete made it a special twist. I guess thats a good reason not to let go of the bar….;)

      • Josh Kennedy says:

        Amen brother: Unknowing, Unknowable.

I had to scale in the nearby globo gym cuz they get really irritated (rightfully so) if I loose control of the weight and let it drop! [ask Jake about such things at the SE HSV YMCA]

  3. Larry Lowe says:

    12:01 scaled to 135lb

Hook grip, hook grip, hook grip…

  4. Carson says:

    14:07 scaled to 85# (105# was Rx’d for women).
The Cleans killed me. I did all the DLs and the PJs unbroken, but the Cleans…ugh.
And yes, we did it in the parking lot. I think Jake likes throwing things like that at the 0600 class just to see how we respond! LOL

  5. Tye says:

12:36 RX’d, missed a couple of Push Jerks at the end that cost me some precious time. Pacing was key on this one.

Good work to 0600, you all gave it everything you had.

  6. Eric Hedges says:

    D.T. RX’d 10:52
The Hook Grip was a savior the last two rounds because my bar was soaked with sweat and chalk. Thanks Jake for pushing me through the last nine reps.

The video looks like that might leave a mark!

  7. Dean "Mother F**ker" Jones says:

    14:51
    Scaled to 115

    • Tye says:

Kurt, “What? I thought you said you had just got done doing 10 years for some nasty s**t?”

Motherf***er Jones “Man, they take that video piracy s**t seriously!!!”

      • Dean "Mother F**ker" Jones says:

Dean ‘MF’ Jones: “I think I can help you boys.”
        Kurt: “Are you a businessman?”
Dean ‘MF’ Jones: “Mother F**ker Jones.”
Dale: “Your first name is ‘Mother F**ker’?”
Dean ‘MF’ Jones: “My real name is Dean.”
Nick: “Dean Jones. That’s the same name of the actor in ‘Herbie and the Love Bug.'”
Dean ‘MF’ Jones: “I know who he is b***h. I can’t walk around this f**kin neighborhood with that Disney-ass name.”

  8. Robb says:

That high ropes course look awesome. Lupo’s shirt is hilarious.

  9. Dean "Mother F**ker" Jones says:

Bobby Pellitt: You can fire Professor Xavier.
    Kurt: You mean Hank.
Bobby Pellitt: Creeps me out, rolling around all day in his special little secret chair.

  10. Matthew says:

19:12 #135, my cleans and push jerk need work.
This was pretty horrible outside, i sweat way too much, everytime i chalked up my hands and got to the bar it was gooey mush in my hands already

  11. Ron Wood says:

    14:51 scaled to 135#

  12. Will Blankenship says:

    12:52 scaled to 135#

First day back after a week of vacation. I’m glad I scaled.. that extra 20#’s would have stomped a mud-hole in me today.

I will also have to agree with Larry’s post… hook grip, hook grip, hook grip!

  13. dean says:

16:51 Rx’d. I’m def glad to get that out of the way before the sun got overhead.

  14. Josh McGuire says:

9:13 rx / still rested to much

  15. Kerri says:

    12:34 rx’ed
The last time we did this in April 2010, I’m not sure if rx’ed for women was 110# or 105#. (Anybody have it written in their journal, the rx’ed weight we did?) So I’m not sure if this is a legit PR or not…

Regardless, it’s a pretty big PR from the last time.
    April 2010 time was 21:03 rx’ed. PR by 8:29

  16. DaveC says:

After 9 or 10 days of unapologetic gluttony and laziness, DT took all the starch outta me, even scaled down to 95#. 15:40. It seems customary to say, “feels good to be back in the gym,” or some such. But I don’t feel that way at the moment. ๐Ÿ™‚

  17. Steve Price says:

    10:15 @ 135#

  18. Don says:

14:17 @105#. I underestimated how much I could push jerk based on my shoulder press makeup workout on Saturday. I got 5X110 doing just shoulder press, so I thought, no way I’ll get that weight doing the “DT” combo we did today. It’s amazing the difference the hip power makes. I coulda (woulda shoulda) done 120#!!

    Hey Grampaw Dave,

Wait’ll ur going to your grandson’s high school graduation(like I did this year) before u start feeling old!! ๐Ÿ™‚

  19. Mac says:

    13:47 Rx’d

  20. Rich C says:

did this last night at home
    13:03 @ 115#
