1600m at 5:33, but I stunk it up on the DU’s. Need to working getting more consistent at linking 50 and then work up to 100 linked
That was cruel and unusual punishment!
Hey guys, I just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone for all the support and well wishes the past couple of weeks leading up to my move. This is a bittersweet moment for me because I have been at CFHSV for so long. It’s almost surreal to think that Wednesday will be my last day and the beginning of a new chapter in my life.
I have learned so much from each and every one of you I wouldn’t have any idea of where to begin to pay you back. I have been blessed to have the opportunity to spend as much time as I have with everyone and get to know each of you. You all made me proud to say I was apart of CFHSV.
I know it must have been rough when I first started out as a trainer (and at times now) but no one ever complained and you stuck with me. For that I am thankful and forever indebted to the CFHSV family.
My only prayer is that during my time at CFHSV you were all able to see Christ in my life. I will be the first to admit there were more times where that wasn’t the case than times where it was but I hope that at some point my life was testament to the work he has done in and through me.
Being apart of this great community and spending time with all of you has been one of the most postive experiences of my life thus far. If any of you ever need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask. Again, thank you all for everything. I have no doubt that I will see many of you at some point down the road. I look forward to that moment.
God Bless,
Jake
Good luck Jake, I know each one of us is a better Crossfit Athlete because of your coaching. What I will remember is a young man who is making his life journey putting God first in his life and everything else second!
God Speed and God Bless,
Eric
Of course we saw Christ in your life. And not because of your devotionals or work outside of the gym. It was through your patients, kindness, and friendship to everyone. You are an exceptionally dedicated man and your passion for crossfit and others shines bright for us all to see. Your coaching has personally taught me may lesions that enabled me to grow and you will be missed. But I have a feeling weβll be seeing you again before too long. π
LOL, oh you gotta love Microsoft and its auto correct. That should be many lessons….not may lesions…that just sounds gross. Oh well, so much for that.
Haha lesions! Gross Slade! That made me laugh out loud!
Yes, if Jake were causing lesions then we probably wouldn’t be sad to see him go. π
… still laughing!
The only positive thing to say about today’s WOD is that it went a long way towards burning off the pint of awesome Ben & Jerry’s I ate last night while watching Olympic Closing Ceremonies with my boysz.
