  1. Justin says:

    bench @ 170, rounds were 17/16, 4/10, 3/6, 2/4, 2/4 = 68
the last rep on bench in round 1 was a bad idea and my kipping pullups still suck

  2. James Lambert says:

    Bench @ 195
    6/17 4/8 2/5 2/8 2/9 = 61

  3. Zak says:

    Bench @ 180
    20/30-15/20-12/20-11/16-10/17= 171

  4. Robert M says:

    170# Bench: 13/16, 6/8, 3/7, 3/5, 1/5

  5. Russell says:

    Bench @ 150# –
    30/32 – 9/15- 6/12 – 5/13 – 5/12 = 139

  6. Zak says:

I guess I should add that I followed the WOD instructions from the CF site. I did this Sunday and took 4-5 min between sets.

  7. Daniel says:

    @175# 15/26 6/10 2/9 2/9 1/5 = 85

Disappointing. I took it easy last week thinking more rest will help my recovery times. I might have taken it too easy. I felt drained very quickly in this workout.

  8. Patrick says:

I’ll be the gray dead dude until I find a picture of myself. Sorta sad, pic’s of the dogs, kids, wife, house, stuff…but not a single picture of myself. Weird. Hope I never come up missing, they won’t have anything to put on the milk carton.

    Bench 155#:
    15/20 – 8/14 – 4/10 – 4/10 – 3/12 = 100

Last effort 1/27/09: Bench 130# (that’s all the weight I had)
    20/28 – 18/25 – 15/18 – 12/18 – 12/20 = 186
Wow! That extra 25# was Huge.

  9. hudsonslater says:

    Bench at 175. Score 89
Grip went out before anything else on the pullups.

  10. number1nuckolhd says:

    4/13, 4/8, 3/5, 2/4, 1/5 = 49

Second set I dropped to 145# bench.

  11. naomi says:

    Bench @ 45# (jumping push-ups)

    10/25 – 6/25 – 2/25 – 3/25 – 3/25

  12. brad0351 says:

not sure of my rounds didnt have my notebook due to work. Either way total of 88 weak perfomance, no excuse.

  13. Daniel says:

    Couple notes on today’s workout.

    – Russell’s Kip is phenomenal.

    – My wife wanted me to get a Crossfit Huntsville Tattoo so she went looking for the logo on the website. Alas we do not have a logo. I think I agree with her when she said that no one is going to want to tattoo “Crossfit Huntsville” across their backs. I think we need a logo as well.

  14. Garth says:

    95 with 175# BP.
    Forgot to log my rounds.

  15. Kyle Mosier says:

    Bench @ 175# for 1st set and 145# for sets 2 – 4
    3/10 – 4/8 – 3/5 – 2/4 – 1/5 = 49
Pretty crappy, but I’ll get there eventually!

  16. Clint says:

Hey mom look I’m famous, I think my head was about to pop off right there.

As Rxd no rest between sets@195 big man weight. (14/16) (4/10) (3/8) (3/8) (2/8) = 76. I am a little dissappointed in my display here, but since its been a year from my last bench press workout this will have to do for now. Anyone for doing this again in a month or two with dumbbells? I’m all in.

  17. Russell says:

I don’t buy that as an excuse clint. It’s been over six months since I did any bench and I just got a PR on my first set of lynne. Zak went back and did a traditional bench workout recently after months of only CrossFit and was stronger at it… what you got for pressing 195 lbs. isn’t bad. Get your diet dialed in and it will be better.

  18. Charlie says:

As Rx’d: no sissy resting. Just a sissy performance:
    BP @ 180# – 7/8, 3/4, 1/4, 1/3, 1/5 = 37

I’ll learn to kip eventually. I’m not sure what’s more disappointing on the bench; the low number of reps for my first set or the huge dropoff…

  19. Clint says:

Russell or Jedi Master, I’ll have to take your word. I know a year ago my chest strength was much greater. However my leg strength, hip strength, flexibility didn’t exist at all. Diet is a key component just adopted. Perhaps I should just listen instead of putting up such a fight.

  20. A.S. Britt says:

    Bench @ 180#
    20/20, 7/13, 5/10, 3/8, 4/10 = 100

  21. katieg says:

    BP @ 55# 15/5, 6/5, 5/3, 3/4, 4/3
This was my first attempt at pull-ups on the big-boy bar. Not big numbers yet…. but I’ll get there.

  22. robbdempsey says:

    Bench @
    185# round 1,2
    165# 3-5

    2/11, 1/7, 4/7, 1/5, 1/5

  23. kristinwhite11 says:

    Bench @ 45 w/ jumping pull ups – 15/25, 11/25, 17/25, 10/25, 11/25

  24. Slade White says:

    Bench @ 155#

Didn’t write down the progression. 12 total bench. 34 total pull ups. First class.

  25. klowe says:

    130 total.
    Didn’t write down the splits.

  26. jimmyeye says:

bench at 225 not sure about the nuber on the sets but i ended up with 90 reps, i think i burned out on the first set of bench doin 20

  27. larrylowe says:

    As Rx’ed
    6/21, 1/11, 1/8, 1/8, 1/6 = 64
8 months ago I couldn’t get a single rep at bodyweight.

  28. larrylowe says:

And it looks as if I’m half the man that my brother is.

  29. tricer says:

6/16-2/10-2/10-1/9-1/6 = 63…. which doesn’t add up to the 65 I calculated at class. I’m with you larry, my old 1 rep max bench was 155….. as Rx’d 185! Much stronger now.

  30. kat1111 says:

    65#
    12, 13, 8, 6, 5 reps of bench
25 jumping pull ups (with chest to bar…most of the time:)

  31. thejudge says:

155 bench press. i don’t remember my individual sets. but the total reps was 98.
