I like this wod…Cute picture!
Looking forward to this WOD too…..good programming!!!
This pic is HILARIOUS!!!!
Rest day for me. Great picture!
Squat 3×5 (add 5 lbs to last workout) 325#
Complete as many rounds as possible in 15 minutes:
5 Any Way Overhead – 185 lbs
10 Push Ups
15 GHD Back Extensions
*Any Way Overhead means just that. You can press, push press, push jerk, split jerk, rack jerk or any other way overhead. You can start and finish in a rack.
7 rounds even. Cleaned weight from the ground and used push presses to go overhead.
Will / Ron – 317 as rx’d
I think it might be better for each individual to keep up with their own score, then add together at the end. Ron and I wasted valuable time trying to convey numbers.
Also, to keep from wasting time in the transitions, get your hands on the bar at 18 seconds.
Justin/John – 300 as rx’d
Mandee/Lesha – 269 as rx’d
Andrew/Ryan- 246 rx
today was
120 pullups
120 ring dips
kinda nuts, given that we have way too many people all trying to work in on too few spots, so didn’t even bother keeping time.
got to 80 of each after about 25 minutes & had to get back to work.
don’t really mind not finishing, cause warm up was 400m run + 8 rounds of 10 front squats w/bar, 10 abmats, 5 pushups….did plenty o’ work today!
used red band on ring dips
got as many pseudo-kipping pullups as I could each set of 15 (like, 2 or 3), then made up the difference w/ blue band.
I just got back last night from the Level 1 Cert in Atlanta, and I just wanted to brag on Russell a little bit. We are very lucky to have him as our trainer, as it was clear to me that some of the other participants were not nearly as well trained, coached and knowledgeable on the CrossFit philosophy, nutrition, etc. We have one of the very best trainers in the entire CrossFit community at our gym…. I have NO doubt that we’ll be spitting out top competitors at future games.
We did 2 WOD’s over the weekend, Fran and a team-AMRAP with SDLHP’s and med-ball runs. It was a lot of fun. I thought I PR’d on Fran – by a lot – but it turned out it was a 56# bar (damn kilos!) In any event, it was fun working out in that environment, and it’ll push me to get it with the prescribed weight next time.
Rest day for me… see y’all tomorrow.
Oh yeah, and watching Jenni Orr demonstrate all weekend really pushed me to get back on the STRICT zone diet!!!
And Katy did an awesome job too representing CFHSV.
Tracey/Kerri-As rx’ed-278
Turns out, we did exactly the same reps 139 each.
Tracey was stronger in PP in the beginning, and I had the HPC covered…..Then, as ‘Tabata’ continued, she got stronger in HPC, I wussed out, and I got stronger in the PP’s…go figure.
Good WOD!!
