In a bit of a hurry because I had to get home to Campbell so I kind of wonder if I could have gotten 120 or 125 with proper rest. Oh well, maybe next time!!
185-195-200-205-210-215(PR)-220(X)
I was able to get the 220 up I just couldn’t lock the weight over my head. I am stoked…my previous PR was 185 so today was a huge improvement for me.
At the beach so did 100 burpees for time 8:04. Getting better! Last time was 8:45.
Larry, I need some help with hotel workouts (not the Hotel Crossfit Games, just realistic ones for now. I will have to train for the Hotel Crossfit Games!) I will be out of town for 2 weeks and need workouts to do. 100 burpees gets old quick!

265c jx – ooooh so close on the jerk. Josh reminded me to drop lower on the jerk and hit about 90%……dang it was so close. next time
55- 65- 70- 75- 80- 85(x)- 75. I was pretty retarded when I got to 85. The moves take too much thinking to get the form which takes away my momentum. I’m still going to rock the “I’m new!” phrase as my excuse!
205-225-230-235(x)-235(x)-185-205
The 230 was just a muscle/power clean and the jerk was a push press. On the first 235 attempt I failed to get my left arm and wrist under the bar. On the second, I did a sloppy clean and failed on the jerk.
Everyone, great job yesterday. No matter if you matched PR, set a new one it was great to see so many motivated athletes giving quality effort. I want to encourage you all to putting more emphasis on skill work into your warm-ups. Don’t just wait around for Russell, Kat or I to get you started. You have all demonstrated a level of self- motivation by becoming avid crossfitters, so motivate yourself to get better. Many of the movements we do are perishable skills so practice them often. Just remember, when you practice any movement, quality over quantity.
Was out of town this weekend, but had access to a gym Saturday. Did “Cindy”- 12 rounds. Had a little beer and carb loading Friday, and could feel it. Still felt good to do something.

Did full cleans until failed on front squat @175. Power cleans after that. I power cleaned 195, but failed the jerk.

Hmm Josh maybe our cheat weekend has something to do with our pattern of fails today!
Bummed I didn’t PR today but I hit my last PR at 105 easily today where last time it was rough.

Went back to 95 to work on form because I REALLY need to work on the clean.

(95, 115, 125, 135, 145, 155, 160) Form still needs refining. Loss of stability as weight increased. Thanks for the tips Josh.
Ashley, you did awesome! 80 for a first-timer is pretty damn good. Be proud and next time you can hit 100 and stop rocking the “new” excuse!
