Run for Gabby 5K. 29:25. I think they had me on the board at 29:31, but I looked at the clock as I crossed the finish line, so I’m taking my 6 seconds!! Not a PR for me, but happy with it. Really wanted sub 30, seeing how I get winded just walking lately!
Great CF turnout! Can’t wait to see the group photo! Good job to everyone–ESP the first time 5K’ers!! So glad to cheer you guys on across the finish line!

I second on the congrats for the great turnout for the 5K today. Lynn & Nate C., Joe C., Robert S., Emily & Garrett, Alissa & Austin, Tasha,Kerri, Ron, Joe R.,Kyle, Craig, Jake and Katie G. put forth some awesome effort this morning.
Great job to Kerri, Mandee, Jake and Dennis for our first affiliate team WOD. Great camaraderie and output for the first of many great workout’s together!
Run for Gabby 5K-30:25-I think this is a street race PR for me; will have to go back and see. I’m with Tasha, we lost a few seconds in the start (being back off the start line a little), but still a good run!!
I’m 25 seconds from my simple goal of a sub 30 5K,but next time I’ll get it.
AWESOME turnout and performance by CF HSV-Camaraderie is a great thing!!
About 15 of us ran, and at least half finished in the top 30!!

Run for Gabby 5K 21:25ish I think. Congrats to all Cross fitters that ran it was great having everyone out there. I ran with Josh and Jake and we had fun.
14:28 rx’d BS and scaled with walking (out and in) hand stands. Good WOD for me to improve my squat tempo.
I did the Run for Gabby this morning. Finished in 32:26. It was slow, but I did not walk a single step. I am NOT nor have I ever been a runner. Today was several firsts for me. It was the first time in my life that I ran a nonstop mile not on a treadmill. It was the furthest that I have ever run nonstop and the fist 5k I’ve ever done. I still have a long way to go, but this is a big step from the couch potato that I was in November. Thank you trainers for pushing us to keep going.
Crossfit Huntsville had a massive showing today. Everyone did rather well and it was great to get the encouragement from the front runners as they hit the turnaround. I was feeling so good after the run that Emily and I somehow thought that it would be a good idea to do the WOD at 11am. That one hurt. My weak back desperately needs a rest.

Run for Gabby today – 26:32. First time ever doing a road 5K for time. I was striving for 25:00, but happy with my results.
Great job Joe C. in helping to put the event together. I know you did a lot of hard work. Your speech to set the race off was very impactful. Also, you looked good in that dunking booth! CrossFit WODs have served you well!

This is about a 3 minute pr over my last 5k at the HSV CCC. I’m sure the lack of hills has a little to do with that, but I’m happy.
Everyone from CFHSV did great! Kudos to all that raced!

Kayaked the Flint River today…about 6 miles. Started out as a “float” involving good beer. Had to be home by 6 for a dinner date. totally underestimated how long the “float” would take. The last 1.5 hours was a total balls out paddle to make it home in time. Then had to carry the karak .5 miles to the house. Total unexpected killer CF endurance WOD.
I’m very, very tired.
My God the Flint is beautiful! I have two Kayaks at the house now waiting for use. So if you ever want to Kayak the Flint River (which is beautiful BTW) please let me know!
