What a great story! I loved the part where she said even if you feel like you aren’t improving, others around you see that you are. My husband tells me that all the time. What an awesome-inspirational story to kick off your Sat morning! Good luck to all those competing today!!!
Good luck to everyone competing today! I know you guys are going to do great. Wish I could be there to kick it off right with everyone but I’m at my Olympic Lifting Cert this weeend.

I sucked….stupid ground to overhead killed me…let it get in my head…it was all downhill after the first round.

and I knocked out the first round in less than 2 minutes…..blech
Because of TRACY ROBERTS, I did DU’s in a WOD today -for the first time. 🙂 I found them, so decided to take a rest and do the WOD again. Thanks, Tracy, for staying and counting my score again.

My score was 1+6 on WOD 1. I couldn’t do any double-unders earlier this week, so I feel pretty good about it. My goal was to get at least 1 round as prescribed, and I met that goal.
Thanks to Tracy and Emily and everyone else for their encouragement this morning.

Did the open wod at cf fort walton beach. Got 4 rounds even. Probably could have added some dus to the score, but no more “snatch” reps. They were a bitch! Feel pretty good about it. Cffwb was a Great gym. They were impressed by my toughness… A testament to training at cfhsv.

SCALED- My goal was 7 and I got 7 exactly with no time to spare. Mental game… 1st time competing. Will push harder next time, but pleased I reached my goal. 🙂 Much respect to Mrs. Jarrett winning gold with her 7+18.

Rx 3+24…..disappointed at my DUs. Gonna hit this one again for sure. Enjoyed getting to WOD with a lot of folks I don’t normally see, like the 6 AM studs!
5/3/1 Squat: 200(5)-230(5)-260(5) Just the minimum today, tweaked the hip adductors (aka: groin) yesterday
5/3/1 Bench: 155(5)-175(5)-200(11)
Hang Power Cleans 3-3-3-3-3: 135-135-155-165-185
For a change of pace, split jerked each weight after the last rep. Except the 185’s… using metal plates in a GloboGym. Didn’t want to frighten the natives if I had to dump it.
I will be working du’s all week…may do it again if I can link better. I’m so excited to work my Oly lifts when I get back. Josh Everett is a great coach.
