What a great story! I loved the part where she said even if you feel like you aren’t improving, others around you see that you are. My husband tells me that all the time. What an awesome-inspirational story to kick off your Sat morning! Good luck to all those competing today!!!

  2. Good luck to everyone competing today! I know you guys are going to do great. Wish I could be there to kick it off right with everyone but I’m at my Olympic Lifting Cert this weeend.

“So it was when the Philistine arose and came and drew near to meet David that David HURRIED and RAN toward the army to meet the Philistine.”
    1 Samuel 17:48

  3. Scott says:

Yep, David “punched Godzilla in the face” too (love that quote)…..let’s do this!

  4. Robert S. says:

Get it done CFHSV!!!!! Wish I could be there with all of you today.

I’m going to go ahead and call Emily Davis out… I’m expecting a phenominal score out of you 🙂

    • Emily D. says:

yeah thanks for that pressure Robert 😉

I sucked….stupid ground to overhead killed me…let it get in my head…it was all downhill after the first round.

      I hate my weak shoulders

  5. Tasha W says:

Because of TRACY ROBERTS, I did DU’s in a WOD today -for the first time. 🙂 I found them, so decided to take a rest and do the WOD again. Thanks, Tracy, for staying and counting my score again.

    As Rx’d, 1st attempt: 1-23
    As Rx’d, 2nd attempt: 2 rounds

I’m gonna go online right now and join the team. I figure it’ll motivate me to keep going strong!

  6. Robert S. says:

A whole extra week.. Looks like I’m going to do this one again… and maybe again…and again

  7. Ben says:

Good work to everyone who competed today.

My score was 1+6 on WOD 1. I couldn’t do any double-unders earlier this week, so I feel pretty good about it. My goal was to get at least 1 round as prescribed, and I met that goal.

Thanks to Tracy and Emily and everyone else for their encouragement this morning.

  8. Don says:

Congrats to all for the great effort today! Scaled 4+21, not bad for a geezer! Got to find my rhythm on the DUs.

  9. Christy Bergin says:

Did the open wod at cf fort walton beach. Got 4 rounds even. Probably could have added some dus to the score, but no more “snatch” reps. They were a bitch! Feel pretty good about it. Cffwb was a Great gym. They were impressed by my toughness… A testament to training at cfhsv.

  10. Tye says:

    7 rounds rx’d.

  11. Dennis says:

Great Job to everyone that competed or assisted today. I am stoked for all of you. Celebrate modestly and then back to work and training. This is just week 1 or 2 or whatever. Stay on schedule and keep traing WODs. See you at tomorrow’s classes. Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! Coach DB Out

PS Did I tell you great job, enormous energy & excitement, and way to uphold the standards. Thanks for all the help, CFHSV Family

  12. Larry says:

    4+39 rx

Happy with the result, although 6 more reps would have been cool, but I was gassed. Nice couplet.

  13. Rich C. says:

2+4 rx’d…gonna keep at those DUs and try this again later in the week!

  14. DennisB says:

Just wanted to let everyone know again that if you conducted the WOD scaled you can still submit. Just check the scaled workout box. Have a good evening.

    • Chuck says:

You did a great job running solo today! Thanks!!!!

      • Kerri says:

I second that, Okie DB!!! Great job with the organization, WOD overview, and pulling off 3 heats without a hitch!
Hats off to the weekend warrior!

  15. AJ says:

    scaled 7+12

  16. AJ says:

    oops I mean 7+18

  17. Chuck says:

SCALED- My goal was 7 and I got 7 exactly with no time to spare. Mental game… 1st time competing. Will push harder next time, but pleased I reached my goal. 🙂 Much respect to Mrs. Jarrett winning gold with her 7+18.

Thank you Chris for being a great judge. Way to go all CFHSV!!!!!

  18. Scott says:

Rx 3+24…..disappointed at my DUs. Gonna hit this one again for sure. Enjoyed getting to WOD with a lot of folks I don’t normally see, like the 6 AM studs!

  19. Patrick says:

5/3/1 Squat: 200(5)-230(5)-260(5) Just the minimum today, tweaked the hip adductors (aka: groin) yesterday
    5/3/1 Bench: 155(5)-175(5)-200(11)
    Hang Power Cleans 3-3-3-3-3: 135-135-155-165-185
For a change of pace, split jerked each weight after the last rep. Except the 185’s… using metal plates in a GloboGym. Didn’t want to frighten the natives if I had to dump it.

  20. tracey says:

I will be working du’s all week…may do it again if I can link better. I’m so excited to work my Oly lifts when I get back. Josh Everett is a great coach.

  21. James Stranahan says:

    scaled 4+15

  22. tracey says:

Tasha and Ben so proud of you both! Little Tracy needs a level 1 cert.! Whaaatttttt!
