Great photo…oh by the way, that was pull-up #2 and I was hurting really bad. I probably would have gotten more benefit from the rings or either jumping pull-ups.

I’m going to wait a few months to answer this one…have to get more form and skill work, & get closer to Rx.
161 as Rx (if you’re ok w/ 0 HSPU!)…did kick up & try to hold the handstand about 6 or 7 times…managed to hold it for a few seconds twice. I can do better, just sucked trying to remember form hints when my brain isn’t functioning at that point…

Fav is Annie because those are the two things I can actually do……least fav has been the 400 meters of walking lunges. I wanted to drop and cry about half way through that one……..and I couldn’t walk straight for 3-4 days.

Yesterday-
Tag team workout on the Beach
burpees, PVC OHS, sprints, buddy-carries, static holds, wheel-barrow carries, lateral cone jumps… etc.

Today-
Hang out by the pool and drink bloody mary’s for time.
Real training starts Sunday, I promise.
Haven’t been able to get in during the latter part of the week due to my grandpa being in the hospital since Tuesday. However, I did take advantage of this weather today and jogged the Bailey Cove Greenway. 42:00 flat at an easy 10min mile pace. Not bad for my first run of the year on these short legs. 🙂 The hubby and I spent the next hour helping a poor lady retrieve her boxer pup who had gotten away from her and was fishing in the creek! It was pretty comical! Made me grateful for our well-behaved lab, who happily assisted in the recovery effort, haha!
Great work on the Greenway!! Maybe we can do this one day….it’s one of the best kept secrets on the SouthSyde!! =o)

I don’t really enjoy many of the workouts while I’m doing them. The only one that really stands outs as being exceptionally awful was lynne with bodyweight back squats added in. My favorite is probably 7×1 deadlift.
I felt like being outside today in the beautiful weather so I ran the 5K cross country course. Time was 30:10 – slower than my PR by over 2 minutes, but I really enjoyed it.
Least favorite: “Eva”. I live in fear of that one.
Most favorite: Whatever we did yesterday or “Diane”
I did the Airforce WOD at home today – IT SUCKED!!

Dropping the bar every minute to do 4 burpees killed me. Especially by the time I got to OHS. 25 seconds to do the burpees, 10 seconds to get the bar lifted and overhead, leaving 25 seconds to rep out OHS. This is a great competition WOD to separate the normal athletes (me) from the freaks (Kevin and Stephen).
Favorite: Helen, Eva, Fran (anything with pullups)
