We will officially be CLOSED tomorrow, Sunday, Apr 24 for Easter.
We will be open as usual today and will have our new childcare hours available from 900am through the end of the Open WOD. We will also hold Ashtanga Yoga at 10am for those that are interested.
Just ran the cookie dash 5k in 26:47 and got second place in my age group. That is 5 mintues off my 5k time since i started crossfit. Somethings working:-)
Awesome Job Casey. I had an old Battalion Commander that was a big time runner and challenged him to only perform CrossFit for two months then conduct a run time trial. He beat his old time by over a minute while running about 1/3rd what he used to. He is still a believe of the CrossFit paradigm. Great job on the run. Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive! That’s awesome Casey, a 5 min PR on a 5K is impressive.
Made up the 400m walking lunge for some unknown reason. Not much else to do at the inlaws. 319 steps, 10:42, PR by 4:08; but 9 more lunges than last time.
Good luck to everybody going today, and PACE, don’t kill yourself right off the bat.
I had a pretty good day today. Bumped my (pwr) snatch 1 rep PR by 10# to 130, got a reasonable facsimile of a squat snatch at 95# several times, which is close to my OHS PR. Then, I hung around for the open and beat the goal I set for myself of 3 rounds.
My goat for the day is going to be this 3-block tub of spinach I’m staring at–more than I used to fix back when I was cooking for four…sigh.

Crossfit Fort Walton Beach
Thank you to all my cheerleaders yesterday. I had only gotten a 100# power clean two days prior to the open WOD, so all I was hoping for was one completed round on 11.5. But thanks to you guys (and the good Lord above), I got 3+7!
I am so humbled by this community and support system, and you guys have no idea how much that means to me. Just wanted to share my thanks 🙂 Happy Easter!

I thought 250 reps would be a big stretch goal for me. I hit 253 reps.
Nice! My target was 8 rounds but fell short. Slowed down so I wouldn’t puke all over another xfit. Couldn’t do that to Russell.
