Very challenging WOD.hardest part was consist ring pull up in the secound round had no power to do more that 2 and a break between.
Feel worse than yestersay WOD in the end.
Did yesterday’s WOD at around 85% of max effort, and 50% GHD sit-up, 50% Back ext.

Reps were all unbroken, but I spent a good amount of time resting and recovering between each round. This might be a good way for me to stay sharp and not destroy myself on a regular basis. I think I’ll probably start doing 1/3 of all workouts this way, except for strength WOD’s, and go at competition pace for 1/3.
worked on refining the WODs for OctoberFest.
tabatas on the three way barbell complex seems to be the way to go
50KBS are not that tough…the runs will be!

I did the Oktoberfest WOD to see how each round feels. My foot is still henduring my ability to run at the moment but I think by Friday I will be full steam.
I did the 3 rounds of : 800m Run w 50 Kb @53
60% 6:00
80% 4:52
90% 4:05 played around with 25 Russian KB 25 American KB. Russian is easier and faster. Slight struggle in the hips from the GHD work. I plan to cheese the run 7:30 pace maybe 8:00 and do straight.

Did this one at the GloboGym, had to cut it short because she was destroying me and the place was crowded. At risk of sounding like a CrossFit elitist, it’s kinda fun to go in there just to marvel at the “worker outers”. The dude using straps to do lat pull downs was different.
stoped by crossfit memphis today, seems pretty cool, no where near the quality of crossfit huntsville however, we are very spoiled. talked to them about octoberfest and told them russell might be going and they were very scared.
37:55 Slow on everything… modified pull-ups, flopping push-ups, and focused on form for squats. I managed to finish it though. Then I took surfing lessons for an hour. 🙂 Tomorrow… an 8 mile hike on the Napali Coast and inland Kauai. Can’t wait!
