Congrats to all of you guys that participated in the LumberJack event. I’m stuck at work : ( and also was graced with a respiratory illness as a gift from my sweet children.

I still want to make my donation and maybe do this WOD tomorrow.

    How was it?

Great job to everyone today! Everyone was working really hard and pushing hard!

It was definitely the toughest wod I’ve ever done. The only time I’ve ever felt this kind of exhaustion and complete satisfaction was finishing half iron distance tri’s…and this took me about 3.5 hours less time! Fecking awesome!

I vote we have something similar to this 1x a month!
    Today was sick!!!!!

  3. I’m so proud to be part of a Crossfit affiliate that raised so much money in rememberance of those we lost.

Unreal workout that I finished in 30:27…205# DL and 80# OHS…otherwise as prescribed. I could not believe I made it through the dumbbell squats (thanks again Jake for staying with me to see them through).

    Hi Everyone,

I sent out an email but wanted to mention this on here as well:

THANK YOU to each and every person who donated and/or participated in the Lumberjack WOD fundraiser this morning! You all did a fantastic job and helped support an important cause.

I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who came early to help me set up and all of the athletes and cheerleaders who stayed after and helped clean up. It was a big help to me and I really appreciate it!

I hope we can do something like this again soon!

    Thanks,
    katherine

Spent way too much time on OHS.
    Great effort by everyone today.

Spent way too much time on everything. Form issues plauged me throughout. On to the Combat Challenge. I’m sure my technique will be much better in those tasks than today’s.

OHS took me 10 minutes or more to complete so to say they need work would be an understatement. Great job to everyone today, I was impressed by everyones performance all around and I’m honored to say im apart of CrossFit Huntsville. I’m pretty sure every guy who did this as Rx’d from CFHSV at one time or another said they didn’t think they could do the 115# OHS but everyone came through to do all 20 reps, great work guys!!!

  8. Robert S. says:

I have only been a part of CFHSV since September. Never did a DL or even heard of an OHS before that. I came into this WOD with no time expectations. I knew I just wanted to push myself as hard as I could and finish this one as Rx for a good cause. I don’t know how much we raised, but I know we exceeded our goal. The fact that we did that, and the fact that every single person in that gym was clapping when someone finished the WOD is proof that CFHSV is top notch.

Thanks to everyone who pushed me and GREAT job!

29:28…very scaled. Deadlift 145# (my 1 rep pr is 180#),OHS 65#,should have done 75#…box jumps 20″(plagued with fear of the extra 4″)I did do 30#(rx’d) for db squat cleans.
It was so great to do that WOD as a group and cheer each other on! I think doing a super hard workout 1x a month would be a great idea.
    OK, MAYBE EVERY OTHER MONTH:)
All in all it was for a good cause and brought us all together to do something special for those families.

  11. LeshaS says:

    Things I scaled:
DL to #175 (instead of #195)
First 10 OSH were rx’d but then, started having trouble getting the bar into position without knocking myself in the head, so last 10 were #65.
    JPU’s
    18 in box

KB Swing, DB squats, burpees and 400 m. run as rx’d.

If I could have scaled the 400 m. run and the burpees, I might have.

EVERYONE did an awesome job and cheered from the first finisher to the last! WAY TO GO CFHSV!

This was with an extra 400m of total running. Drank a pre-game miller lite. Not a great idea. Cramped pretty badly around pull-ups unti the finish.

  13. Jeff Barnett says:

Had a great time hanging out and competing with all of you.
