Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who came out to class tonight…it was a bit hectic (to say the least) and I really appreciate everyone working so hard to get things started and keep things moving. Sorry if I lost my cool there for a minute (did I seem a little tooo much like Russell?? Not that he loses his cool…just the “little ball of hate” part 🙂
Anyway, I hung out for about 17 minutes and did some of the JT workout and then ran off to pick up Campbell. Thanks to Jeff and Andrea for sticking around and cheering me on 🙂
You did a great job Kat! Between the gymnastics Open House and a huge CF turnout for the WOD you managed it very well.
I did a little better than last time, at 15:58 versus 17:49 last time. I did assisted HSPU and banded ring dips on the rings and parallel bar after I hit failure on regular ring dips. Pushup form was awful – showed me where I need work!
Did this athe home gym. I don’t have rings yet so I had to substitute regular dips for ring dips
Some of the last few hspu were not to proper depth, but o well. It sucked bad enough. Off to Vancouver for three days. Going to go to Corssfit Vancouver. One of their coaches placed 24th in the Xfit games – The Urban Monk. I’ll let you know how it goes.
As Rx’d 9:xx.
2 min. improvement…but, last time I was confused about the exercises, and did 21 pull ups before starting the HSPUs and did 21 ring dips in the second round. So, I’m not sure if the time was much of an improvement.
You did a helluva job managing chaos. Sorry I missed the “lost my cool” part, I’d like to have seen that.
Maybe it was more just that I was meaner than I normally am…perhaps most of you would not have noticed!
Great job flying through a tough workout!
Can’t wait to hear all about it. With your Games performance and now level II cert. There is def strong legitimacy to CFHSV!
You and Katherine need to get ready for a wild ride with the business! Hope you guys have some help lined up soon! Classes keep getting bigger by the day.
As Rx’d: 13:01…
Started losing time midway through the second round, but improved close to 2 min since last attempt.
14:37. Assisted HSPU’s after round 1.
My HSPUs started off very shallow, and ended up with just trying not to let my head hit the ground too hard.
My shoulder press is only 160, and my BW is 175. Needless to say, my HSPUs are bad.
Proper depth was not maintained, but I complete the workout to the best of my ability. HSPUs and Ring Dips are two of the worst movements for me. The only way yo get better of course is to do more of them.
Larry, thought you might like this. Just saw a girl at Starbucks wearing a TOMS shirt. On the back it said:
“Disclaimer : You will NOT win the rat race wearing Toms.”
Kat, there is a fine line between loosing it and being in control. You have to maintain order and run the class, and sometimes that takes showing a bit of attitude. I’m sure you didn’t cross that line and we all appreciate you working so hard to maintain the class schedule with Russell out of town.
15:10- Assisted HSPU and bar dips with a band….Just glad to get through the workout! Tried to maintain ‘proper’ push-ups without just collapsing; at 15 and 9, can’t say that was the case. Great class though, and Katherine you did a GREAT job!
JT 16:58. Thanks everyone for helping me this was my first time around on this
work out. Did first set of HSPU un assisted. great job katherine i felt like russel was there yelling at me but it was you. thanks again
