  1. Russell says:

did “Randy” from yesterday – 4:03 (muscle snatch)
It helped to have people to yell at me.. I kept wanting to put the bar down and finally found my spine in the last set of ten and finished hard.

  2. Russell says:

oh yeah and our shitty 15# bumper plate broke, which pissed me off enough to make me go faster.

  3. Jakub Sikorski says:

    WOD “Badger” as Rx’d 39:46

  4. Robert Montgomery says:

Fast paced trail hike with 45# pack: 1hour 2 mins.

  6. Larry Lowe says:

    4 rounds:
    0.25 mile run
    25 burpees

  7. Katherine Berger says:

    21:27 2 rounds

After Randy yesterday, I was having considerable back issues so I decided to do two rounds with the 35# barbell rather than 60# as rxed. I did the entire 800m run and all of the pullups as rxed.

Felt good. I feel like my pullups are getting better and I am improving when it comes to linking them. Just need more work.

  8. klowe says:

-ran an extra lap around the island on the first two rounds
-temperature change from AC’d/low humidity gym to the parking lot SUCKED!!!

FYI…for everyone else (or am I the only person that cannot figure it out?)
    Russell says 800m
is from the back wall – out the door – around thrice – and in the door
(so you only run PAST the door twice)

–damn we need a 400m loop with the new gym!

  9. Russell says:

that’s not exactly right. I’m not sure why this is so confusing.

to get 800m, you circle the parking lot island FOUR times.

using the door as a point of reference seems confusing, but if you are into that sort of thing:

from the far wall, you exit the door, running either direction
you pass it as you start your second lap
you pass it again as you start your third lap
you pass it again as you start your fourth lap
you enter the door as you approach it, finishing your fourth lap, and touch the far wall.

  10. Jimmy says:

im killin randy when i get back my workout was sprint sprint and more sprint. then go eat a ton of carbs for every single meal!

  11. Zak says:

Every time we have an 800 meter run I find it useful to hold up the number of fingers that corresponds to the number of laps I’m on. So if I’m on lap 1 I hold out one finger for that lap until I pass the door and then hold 2 fingers out.

  12. Russell says:

I’ve seen people use pennies and nickles for that sort of thing too.. I like to swipe the green floor with a chalk stone and make marks… guess that doesn’t help when running.

  13. Clint says:

Zak funny thing I have always done that, I feel like an idiot running around holding up a few fingures to remind my caveman brain what lap I am on. I’m still painfully slow but I dont forget my laps, oddly what works well if you forget is start over! Tend to remember much faster when you start fresh!

  14. Zak says:

Once I’m tired simple math is impossible to me. Even when using my fingers to count I still question what lap I’m on. 4 times around the island just seems so much more than 800 meters.

  15. Clint says:

    32:49 Rx.
I didnt push hard on this one just really steady, not saying it wasn’t uncomfortable. I tried to make up time on pullups small sets of 10 and 5.

  16. Kyle Mosier says:

I finished the the thing, which is about all I can say. It was in the 55 – 60 minute timeframe, but I forgot to look at the clock, so I don’t know exactly.

  17. Mandy says:

    made up 7/7
did hang cleans with a squat with the bar because, as russell says, my squat is just weird.
really proud to do all the pull ups (kipping)!
