Great coaching from OkieDB today and a lot of big lifts in class! Solid work from everyone in class!
275 for the 3x deadlift, a good bit over my 1-rep max. Might have finally got over a psychological barrier on that move. Good class and as always inspirational coaching from Coach DB. James S looked like he was picking up dandelions with north of 300 on the bar, fun to watch!
295# Way over previous 1 rep max. Thanks DB for the tips on form. Guess its time for new shoes (as soon as my right foot can fit into them again).
Annie: 9:09 scaled 150, 120, 90, 60, 30 singles.
415 3rep max (surpassing my 1rm of 405) actually got a 1rm of 420 at the end. So, the next time I do 1rm should be a lot higher!
Also loved coach DB’s approach method to the bar. Really helps you get that initial form to be more efficient.
Great class today! 285(pr) 3rep max DL. Stoked to get 285!!! Previous 2rep max was 280. 3rd rep on 285 wasn’t pretty (rounded some).
Afterwards, worked linking Muscle ups. Did 5 sets of 2 with 45 to 60 seconds rest between. Excited to see progress yet continually reminded that progress happens one step at a time. What feels like a plateau may just be a lesser incline than what my mind (and ego) wants to accept.
At home, ran a gentle mile working on breathing technique, applying above mentioned progress plan (one step at a time) to my love of running.
Trying to make peace with some goats – thin the herd some. 🙂

Date with Annie today. We get along a lot better than we used to. She’s grown on me a little and i think she also underestimates the Reynolds charm. Still room for improvement here, tried too hard and didn’t relax on the rd of 50 and 40. First time with situps unbroken. I’ll take a 3 min pr though!

Thanks for posting the “Crossfit Blues” article. For some reason I go through phases where school saps all my energy and I have none to give to Crossfit…that’s been the case lately.
