Awesome picture of our affiliate team!!! All of CFHSV are doing really well! Keep checking the scoring site for details:
    http://scores2010.crossfit.com/scoring/southeast/

Our affiliate team results won’t be accurate due to a qualification error but we will keep you posted on how they do!

I know that yesterday’s tire WOD went well and the finished in 11:09 and I think they finished this morning’s row WOD in 18:05. We have Emily Davis to thank for these updates! Thank you Emily!!!!!

    Katherine

Oh, and the top 12 men will compete in their 4th WOD at 2:00pm (I think) and after a planned break of only about 40 minutes, they will complete in the 5th and final WOD. Russell is happy to be in this final heat and is currently in 7th place. He worked his way up from 31st after the first WOD (the one I call “lift something heavy”). We are hoping he continues to move up and can finish in the top 4 for a chance to go to the games in July!

All of the athletes have done really well and there is definitely some tough competition this year! Check out Rich’s scores—he won our sectional and is currently in the lead at regionals!

Good luck today to Russell, Kevin, Karen, Jeff, Jordan, and the Affiliate Team! Can’t wait to see how you all do!

Hopefully my phone battery will not let me down today 🙂 Times may not be exact….will check on the row time again. Second team WOD starts in 2 minutes.

    • Emily D. says:

      18:03 actually

Second WOD looked BRUTAL…..hot as hell too…..they did an AWESOME job! A ton of teams aren’t finishing ….they finished around 21:30. 22 min cut off.

Super proud of them for putting themselves out there even though it didn’t count.

Karen goes at 12:40 and then Russell is at 4 I believe.

      Do work!!!!

    • Patrick says:

Well, using your times. Look like the Affiliate Team should have finished in the middle of the pack.

  4. Katherine Berger says:

Thanks Emily!!! Let us know how it goes with Karen! Looks like she will be starting soon!

  5. Patrick says:

So our Affiliate Team has been DQ’d?
I was wondering why no scores were being posted.
    Uber respect.
Doing the WODs for S&G, that takes heart.

    • Kerri says:

Patrick, I can’t say it has really been for S&G, but, we knew from the get go, we were dq’ed. Had our numbers counted, we woulda been roughly 23rd-middle of the pack all the way…
It has been fun regardless, but sucks that our roster registration didn’t have one of our team members listed..Karen’s about to go!

  6. Kerri says:

We have def given our all!! 🙂

    • Patrick says:

Wow! You knew before driving down the team was DQ’d, and went anyway. That’s awesome, sounds like a good way to spend a weekend. Wish I was there.

  7. tracey says:

Im so proud of ALL of you! Just think how much stronger all of you are for doing these events. Thanks for updates and keep them coming.

  8. Emily D. says:

They are running WAY behind!! Kevin is up for thr row/burpee WOD next….then Russell….then the brutal last WOD.

Big ups to Karen and Jordan for kicking some booty!!! Awesome strong women! 🙂 the winner from our sectionals kicked some ass today and took first for the women……congrats Michelle!!!!

  9. Katherine Berger says:

It is pretty awesome that our sectional winners are both in the lead!

Amazing performances by Karen and Jordan…both of them in their first regional competition. I am extremely impressed and proud that they both represented the CrossFit community here in Huntsville! Way to go!

I vote we have a big party this weekend to celebrate!!!

  10. Emily D. says:

Holy hell…..Russell killed his 4th WOD….5:38!!!!!!!!! His burpees were freaking INSANE!!!

  11. Katherine Berger says:

And the scoring link is down…again.

  12. Katherine Berger says:

Russell and Kevin missed their flight because of the last WOD…in light of that and the fact that it is Memorial Day and I doubt you guys want to work out at 600am….

WE ARE CANCELING the 6:00AM CLASS TOMORROW MORNING!!!!

All other classes will be held as scheduled.

Email me at crossfithuntsville@gmail.com if you have any questions.

    Thanks

  13. Emily D. says:

Congrats to everyone that competed…..Russell finished 6th.
Scoring link is slow on my phone…..not sure of everyone else.

Awesome time in Jax…….super proud of CFHSV!!!!

    • Patrick says:

      Russell 6th, KLowe 29th, Jeff Barnett 51st, Jordan 22nd and Karen 41st.
      Proud of you all.

  14. Patrick says:

    “Arnie”: 43:15
Scaled 1pd TGU and OHS, 1.5pd for swings

Congratulations to all the CF Regional competitors. Eat crappy food, drink some adult beverages and sleep too late. You deserve it.

  15. Robert S. says:

Amazing work by everyone from CFHSV at he regionals this weekend!

  16. tracey says:

Today, Mon. 31st is yesterdays WOD. Please be on time. 🙂

  17. klowe says:

    Very fun weekend!

VERY PROUD of ALL our CFHSV warriors and surrounding community. It was awesome to watch everyone compete and give it their all!

    Karen was guns a blazin’

The Team was inspiring to my true meaning of CF comps! DQ’d due to a clerical error going into the event but said….”screw it, lets have fun!!!” and it did not stop them one bit from going 110% in blazing sun and unbearble heat! They finished middle of the pack which ain’t a bad place to be considering the quality of baddazzness aplenty!

Russell threw down some AMAZING performances this weekend. Body weight snatches and push press x’s 8 rounds and the worlds fastest burpees! Sixth was a tough break for going to Cali but me thinks this experience is going to create more of a Monster going forward! (I’ll periodically remind him of 6th just to keep him motivated ; ) – I had a great time rooming and hanging out with Russell also. Never thought politically incorrect/correct homo-erogenous Euro humor was so funny……….

HUGE thanks and respect for all those that traveled down to yell for us all. I/we could definitely hear yall yelling and it DID make a huge difference. Thank You! (I’m sorry I started to act like an ass in the last WOD). A whole hearted Thank you again for the encouragement!

Several great dinners here and there with other athletes from around the SouthEast. I am blessed to have made and continue to make so many great friends that friendships that will continue beyond CrossFit.

Last….If you ever need comedy relief for an event. Give Justin about 12 beers and step back! He is one of the funniest guys I’ve ever been around! He was on his humor/wit “A” game last night. – hilarious!

Congrats to all of us! and THANKS again to all of yall for being my friends and fellow warriors.

Great time…..lets hope we can all compete with eachother soon.

    K
