See you there. Should be a beautiful day for a run as it is scheduled to be sunny and 74. Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive!
What a great picture! You can feel all the spectators trying to will the weight up along with Robert. Great group of people.
GREAT event yesterday!!! I really enjoyed being out there with everyone. My gosh, the weather was amazing, too – I actually got a little sunburn, haha. The new facility is SO awesome and it always amazes me how much energy a small group such as ours can produce. Good job to everyone who put it together and participated!
Great Job today on obtaining PRs on the 5km run to Ben Davis, Paul Pepe, and Tracey Rauer. Another kudos to Stacey Penton for taking on the 5km run and becoming a better runner. Good Job! What a beautiful day it was for a 5km run. Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive!
4 seconds slower than the last time at the end of July, and I blame Aaron for that. I didn’t have a pacer today, Aaron, where were you?
Haha! Sorry Tye, Sundays are my off days. Especially now that I’m training for the Rock n’ Roll marathon in NOLA on 2/13. Yesterday was 13 miles @ an 8:30 pace. And I honestly thought we were hitting the 5k tomorrow, which I was kind of looking forward to rowing in the am. Still great work! Sub-21 on that course is solid!!
Excellent time Tye. My goal was to be down the big hill before I passed you. (Coming toward me, of course.)
27:57 or some such. Couple seconds sub 28, that much I remember. It’s odd, there was a time that I actually enjoyed running… whatever happened to those days?
29:37. Glad to be able to run again? I had forgotten how pretty the course was. Almost rolled my ankles 3 times, though. Guess it is kind of a plus/minus situation. And Patrick, I remember those days as well and wonder where they went (so maybe I can go find them again!)
That course is DANGEROUS when the leaves are covering up all the ruts. That is exactly how I rolled the crap out of my ankle. Hidden rut.
26:18 pr by 42sec. I rolled my ankle a few times as well, on the rocks hidden under all the leaves. Pretty day!
