did extra handstand pushups and backsquats just so I could say I did an exercise with every piece of equipment in the crossfit arsenal. Not really.

Subbed “tuck jump” for double-unders and 20kg KB for 24kg KB

Trying to be smarter than normal and scale things when I should 🙂

Rope climbs SUCKED and tore my hands apart. I has serious fears about falling from the top because my arms were literally shaking. All in all, not quite as bad as I thought it would be!

Oh, and for some reason I chose today to try for a 1 rep max shoulder press BEFORE doing the workout. Not only did I not get it, but it was probably a fairly dumb idea.

*This was particularly nast after yesterday. The final rope climb was great after I touched and slide down 20ft. My hands are bleeding in places I did not think they could.

The two Joes at 7 am kicked but today. The older Joe turns 59 on Friday-big props to him I hope I can do cross fit at 59!!

I gave a clinic today on draggin ass. Lost count on situps and had to start over, missed a bunch of wall ball shots, and let the 2 pood get the better of me. Room for improvement. 🙂

23:00 scaled…tuck jumps, 16kg KB, Used toes on box for ring dips, skipped the rope.
I attemped the rope after a few minutes rest (first rope climb ever) I think I was just too tired to figure the feet / rope sequence. I will work on it now that ive learned correct form.
This was a ADHD work out, it was all over the place!!! I HAVE PLENTY TO WORK ON

GOOD LUCK ALL OF YOU THIS WEEKEND!!!1 I’ll be there Sat. to cheer ya’ll on. Kick booty!

Looks like a great workout. One of the ones where going slow and steady results in a faster time then spazz out and die.

Set a new PR today. Mow and Edge yard for time 1:15!!!

    ………………………….on a riding mower : )

  11. Jason Terry says:

looking forward to this today – the first half anyway! Tuesdays WOD was climbing trees, hanging tree stands, hiking through woods, fixing tree stands and climbing more trees! PR – somewhere around 5 hours. Ready for Oct 15TH!! VENISON – the true organic meat.

I hear ya Tracey. This workout was designed in a fit of maniacal dementia bordering on schizophrenia probably induced by a mad sequence of chipper WODs, mixed in with heavy dead lifts, a 7K trail run, and fueled by two only zone blocks of almonds, Slim Jims, Pixie Sticks and Espresso. it would take Gary Kasparov and Dan Brown together, 2 years to decipher the mad scientist sequence and symbology hidden in this workout.

  14. Hudson Slater says:

    19:16. Horrible workout

Good luck to you all at the Games; I think there will be a good CF HSV crowd to cheer you on!!!

  22. Kerri says:

Oh, and Robert S…..I’d LOVE to hear if Billy and Carlos survived the Firefighter Scramble….Did they drink the Kool-Aid after all?

  23. Robert S. says:

    Kerri,

Those two where no shows….. However, I have to admit they had been fighting brush fires all day so they have a valid excuse. This one will happen again, and I’m sure they will participate.

I got Carlos to do Leggy Lynne with me the other day, and by round three he was SMOKED!

  24. Kerri says:

Ok, well, they’re off the hook THIS time….Leggy Lynne…glad you gave him a good challenge! Tell em both I said Hi!

  25. Patrick says:

    27:53 scaled:
Step ups, 100 single unders, 30lb DB cleans (35s were taken)
