OHS – 195, missed 205 on depth. Coulda got it if I had time for another attempt

    DBS – 10 + 8 (I think. I was 1 rep less than Meghan – who rocked DBS!)

  7. AP says:

    A. 135-145-155-165-175-185x
Matched prev PR, should have had 185 but lost it forward and ran out of time for another attempt.

    B. 8
    Shoulders toasted from this week.

  8. AP says:

Larry and I discussed this morning and here is the plan for tomorrow.
    CFSHV Sea Anemones Water WOD:

    C. 5 x 50m “pop-out” sprints

    165# PR on OHS
Made it through round of 10 on snatches but had to leave for an 8am meeting so I had to call it there…of course, I didn’t really mind 🙂

  10. Clair says:

    A. 95# on OHS. Would have liked to have gone for 100# but ran out of time.
    B. 7+6 on “Death by Snatch” Was pretty happy with my “DBS” because I sure didn’t think I would get that far at that weight. 🙂
    Love the picture, Gus!

  11. Marisa says:

    A. Super ugly 115# OHS (10# PR)
    B. 12+10 on the “Death by Snatch”. Fantastic name for a workout, btw. 🙂
Superb coaching by Robert this morning!

  12. Meghan says:

    A. #110 (#5PR). Once I got in my groove #110 felt really good, ran out of time.

    B. 10+9 DBS. Great little workout!

Thanks to Robert for the great coaching!

  13. Stacey says:

Love the pic Gus! Btw, where did you get that water bottle? We owe you a new one 😉

    80# OHS, shoulder was sore
6+4 DBS, made my shoulder more sore!

  14. VOD:
Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift. Matthew 5:23-24

  15. Shawn R says:

    A. 185# OHS, PR
    B. 8 Rounds

The biggest issue for me today on the OHS is trying to learn to get the weight over my head. Need to work on that.

First time ever doing a snatch. Needs some work. 🙂

  16. Nathaniel says:

    A – 145

    B – 12+12

  17. Kristen Brinkley says:

OHS 115#- totally could have stuck 120#
Snatch 9- should have tried more

So, addressing the “totally could have” part…. Why am I so afraid of heavy lifts? I’m serious, my fear is reminiscent of the first time I stood in line to ride a roller coaster. I cried, pitched a fit really but loved it in the end. And such is my lifts. I find myself beseeching the good Lord for protection all while fighting images of the bar falling on my freaking head or spine or something else important. What tha heck is wrong with me? I’m hoping with time (I started in feb) I’ll grow accustomed. The second it feels “heavy” (like I’m gonna drop it heavy) I totally freak and of course, drop it. It just doesn’t seem that anyone else around me is afraid at all. If anything, they seem very audacious.

And on a positive note, Marisa was unbelievable this am. She snatched like nothing I’ve ever seen. You all totally missed quite an inspiring event!

  18. Jamie not Jaime says:

    CrossFit Optio at Rucker
    1500m row
bench 75% body weight, 21 reps
    bench 75%, 15 reps
    500m row
    bench 75%, 9 reps

115# for 21 reps, 95# for the next two rounds, 26:17

And Kristen, don’t worry…it will get easier. Just think of it in terms of OHS a 10th grader.

  19. Devonne says:

12+8, Rx…I can’t do many things Rx, so this felt good to me :-).

    • Devonne says:

I should have said that I cannot do many things Rx at this time…but I plan on getting there:-).

  20. Adam Campbell says:

    145# (pr) + 9 rounds
