    5 rounds as rx’d (25lb)DB

  2. klowe says:

    7 row, 6 thrusters w/ 40# db’s

    SMOKER of a WOD!

  3. Katherine Berger says:

Lower back still hurts so I did the mainsite WOD at the playground. Could not kip well (maybe because of my back?) and only did 6 rounds and 6 pullups.

I would like to note that I have gotten waaaay to accustomed to using the “special, squishy, tennis grip” on our cage. Doing pullups on a “real” bar without special padding is about 10xs harder. I will no longer allow myself the luxury of the squishy bar. I think it makes it too easy and you don’t strengthen your hands/grip strength. Plus, there is no issue of slipping like you do on a metal bar. And, if you ever want to compete, they most likely won’t have tennis grips at the Games 🙂

  4. klowe says:

Don’t mess with my “squishy bar”!!!!

I love it and will continue to abuse it…. : )

  5. Courtney Meyers says:

    5 rounds w/ 20#

  6. Robert Montgomery says:

    6 Rounds @ 35#’s (all 40#ers were being used)

  7. Katherine Berger says:

Kevin, iIn your case, I am sure you are plenty strong enough to use the squishy grip without hurting your performance…I am mostly speaking for those of us who can only do 10-15 pullups without taking a break 🙂 Keep on abusing it! 🙂

  8. Craig Herr says:

5 rounds and 445 meter row. Using 15lbs and 21 reps.
*That was a pretty nast WOD.

  9. James Lambert says:

5 rounds @ 35lbm, here’s to hoping the pull-up bar is working by tomorrow morning.

  10. joe c says:

    5 rounds@ 20lbs and 66 meter row

  11. Jakub Sikorski says:

    4 rounds + 460 m as Rx’d @ 40#

  12. Clint says:

    4 rounds complete +500 meter Row @40

    2 rounds of thrusters
1 round of 15 FS then 15 DB press
    1 round of 15 FS

  13. Mandee Miller says:

    5 rounds @ 25 lbs.

  14. Karen says:

    5 rounds + 182m @ 25lbs.

As most know, I’m ALL FOR the tennis racket (squishy) tape, since I’m the one who puts it up there! For a Game situation, tape (on my hands) or gymnastic-like grips (aka Hanpons) would be my choice. But for regular, weekly training, the tape keeps my hands in good condition, without as many calluses and rips (at least until the tape gets worn out so much that it does more damage than good!). i just prefer to be able to work out as consistently as possible, and rips can impede that, so I do what I need to do to avoid them. But, seeing that Crossfit is for all-around training, maybe i’ll mix it up from time to time to avoid stagnancy and complacency… Maybe. 🙂

  15. Will Blankenship says:

    4 full rounds + 420m @ 40#

This one is a lot harder than it looks on paper.

I do like the new hardcore atmosphere of the temp gym, but… no shower before going back to the office is going to kill my sparkly repertoire. Thank God I’m not one of those guys that smells like buffalo taint when I sweat.

….errr… maybe I am and somebody needs to tell me 😀

  16. MP says:

Couldn’t get away, so I did the main site WOD at my work gym…

    11 rounds + 6 (strict Pull ups)

  17. Clint says:

I have yet to get a smell of a taint yet, I’ll have to pass. But Craig Herr might know what a taint smells like…doesn’t sound to pleasant at all.

  18. Patrick says:

    Will…a sparkly repertoire, okay.
James, pull up bar is up and functional. It’s a beauty. Maybe Karen will bring the squishy grips. Lots of need toys arrived today, it was like a CrossFit christmas.

    5 rounds + 94m row. Sub’d 35# DB Push press

  19. Craig Herr says:

Clint with your incredible flexibility all you need to do is sniff hard you know the smell. I am just glad you followed directions and made it to the correct gym for the workout.

  20. James p says:

5 Rounds + 250m 1st round @ 35#, pooned out to 30#. I should have started @ 30#. I HATE starting a WOD with heavier weight and then spending more time resting between reps than actually doing the WOD.

  21. Katie says:

    3 rounds + 10 thrusters @ 25#

  22. Zak says:

    “Death by Pull-ups”
15 rounds on the new bar
I stopped at 15 to save the skin that was left on my hands.

  23. Katie says:

Hmmm maybe the tennis grip is a good idea after all

  24. Amy Tankesley says:

    4 rounds + 500m + 5 thrusters @ 20lbs

  25. Brad says:

500m row 45lb thruster 15 reps AMRAP in 15 mins
    4 rounds of rowing + 6 thrusters

  26. Katherine Berger says:

I agree with Karen that changing it up is the key. Squishy grip it sometimes but make sure to do some workouts without so you get accustomed to the bar. I may do the workout again today with the grip and see how much it helps…

  27. J.D. says:

4 rounds + 167 meters @ 30#. The new gym is hot. This workout sucked. Ouch. Took a couple of hours and lots of Gatorade and water to recover.

  28. Mandy says:

Main site WOD- 1 pull up first min, 2 pull ups second min etc.
made it 9 rounds + 8 pull ups
