Group med-ball toss, followed by kipping swing and pull-up drills

10 Wallball shots, 20 pound ball
10 Pull-ups

    Questions:
    What makes a person who begins a Paleo lifestyle loose inches (several) but not weight (or maybe just a few pounds)? I say who cares as long as your clothes are obviously too big after only 3 weeks and minimal exercise. Ideas?

    What would you say to a sub for noodles that is made out of konjac root, the source for glucomannan, which is used as a natural fiber in some nutritional supplements? The only argument I can come up with is that it is processed…thoughts? This is the website that sells it: http://www.miraclenoodle.com/angel-hair-pasta.html

      I don’t think everything that is processed is automatically verboten. For instance almond butter and coconut (and most oils) are processed, but I think lots of paleo-oriented people still consume them.

      Concerning your question: The easy answer is muscle weighs more than fat. I’m 20lbs heavier now than when I first walked into CFHSV 2 yrs ago. The early body comp changes your seeing is mostly fluid loss and decreased inflammation. As you continue both the Paleo and CF lifestyles, loose fat and gain muscle… you may actually see your scale weight go up. My advice… stop weighing yourself.

      Concerning the noodles: Absolutely no idea.

        Thanks, Patrick! Just to clarify, my weight question is not in reference to myself but rather two people who have been paleo for 3 weeks but are not working out, or maybe minimally working out. Same goes for them even though they are not doing CF? I can see the weight not changing much if you are building muscle, but I don’t think they are doing that.

          Saw the link for those “noodles.” My question is why would you want to eat something with no nutritional value when you could use spaghetti squash or make a “pasta” out of strips of sweet potato, and your body can actually benefit from it? What’s the point of these magic noodles? Just a thought.

    Hey gang,

    I got a sponsorship package of INOV8 shwagg today and while it is all mostly awesome shoes and bags and gear I can use, I have a few items that are very “runnerish” and I wanted to see if anyone wanted them.

    Item 1: “Team Inov8” white wicking running shirt (medium)
    item 2: Inov8 running hat made of some type of wicking material

    Also, They sent me a sweet bag so I am going to sell my black LULU LEMON backpack to anyone who wants it… it is a great bag but too many girl colors inside I wasn’t aware of when I purchased it… The bag cost about 100.00 and it’s in good condition so I’d happily sell it for 50$

    And since I’m writing this, Katherine is trying to sell something too:
    LULU LEMON “run; speed shorts” size 6, originally 54.00, worn once to the grocery store. hah!

    Been out of town all week, flew back in this afternoon, two hours at the office, then to CF. Expecting the normal WOD of WB abd pullu-ups. Got the CF Open WOD of DU and snatches instead! 😉 4 + 17. Thanks to Jake for judging.

    I’ve gone from not really being able to do any double unders to being able to get one or two. I’m hoping I can get at least one round in on WOD 1 on Saturday.

    WOD 1: 3+15
    DU’s were slow as shite… in the 3rd round I figured out if I donkey kick like mad I could link a combo of singles and doubles.
    I’m done with this WOD…
    Sorta having a bad week, and I just don’t really give a damn.
