Wanted to do bodyweight for all ten. 145 actually felt pretty light and thought I’d go up to 155 for the last five. Got a phone call from an Inov8 rep mid-workout and spent 15 minutes on the phone.. cooled down too much and quit. Good news is that I’m now sponsored for the CF games by inov8 and they are sending me some free shoes and gear to try out.
in other news, I’m bailing on the Death Race. I would have gone too hard, refused to quit, possibly won, possibly died, and would not have been ready for Aromas. Instead, Robert Montgomery is going to compete and I’m going to be his “support crew”.
I think it went something like this:
45 x 45 x 45 x 55 x 55 x55 x 55 x 65 (8000 times) x 75 x 75 x 80 (which I dropped)
This was really hard for me to get right. When I did, it was incredibly simple and the weight felt effortless….unfortunately, that only happened twice. other than that, I struggled.
I need to work on my power position (leaning forward more and bending my knees less) and I always need to work on turning off my arms.

I hit 145 with superb form and then bombed 155. Happy to have nailed 145 though.
65, 75, 85, 95….+ some practice + some fails + a lot of bad form
Rest day today. I’ll try to make this one up on the next rest day. Great job on the PR Clint and Katherine.

I still need to work on form and getting down a bit, I’m still not comfortable at all in the catch position for the snatch. I just need to practice it and get confidence to catch weight over my head. Still bothers me having weight over my head.

95 – 115… (repeat x9), last effort was the best.
Speed is the key. Got to jump hard, shrug, then dive under the bar.

95 was very easy and a great weight for form practice
115 wasn’t bad first time, but next two were terrible
like everyone else, better lean form and turn off the arms
