Props to Russell for being so strict. It quickly turned in to a mental as well as physical battle. Hearing “MISS!” or “Didn’t Count!” definitely screws up a mental rhythm. As much as I hated hearing it…..it is great for games preparation.
My last Karen tim was in the 8 min range. This time, I probably didn’t count half my reps
due to depth, and missing the target. There were several times I missed 5 in a row.
15:00 min. I probably did more like 250 because i missed so many times russel was very strict i could not hit the lines to save my life. thought i would do better but this one was alot harded then expected. tomorrow it will be 3 month that i have joined crossfit thanks to everyone there and thanks to russel for doing a kick ss job keeping me going.
didn’t feel great for this one. When I got done my quads cramped so badly I fell over. Still walking around like a robot. I blame this on dehydration, poor meal timing, and a few days of sleeping like crap.
I also want to point out to anyone who reads this blog and does not come to our gym that our Wall-ball shots today were graded very strictly on a 10′ target with a 6″ pass-or-fail both above and below the target line. This added an average of 2 minutes to almost everyone’s previous PR on this WOD. Not how I want to do this workout every time, but the accuracy work definitely did some interesting things to the scoreboard.
My last time was 11:46, so russell you are dead on with the 2 minute thing. I missed about 15 reps at least. Agree with you zak! Toward the end it was hard to hang on to the dang thing!
Rx = 95#. Shoulder indicated 75# was good. 7 rounds + thrusters. Should *not* have eaten mexican for lunch. I think my blood was thick like the cheese dip.
This was terrible. Seriously. There is nothing worse than doing physical work and it not counting. I learned that I have absolutely terrible accuracy. Not only was it difficult for me to get between the black tape, but I have an astounding ability to completely miss hitting the WALL. Yeah. That is pretty sad.
Front Squats 5×3 – 135-185-205-215-215
45 mins later
“Karen” 8:29. Much tougher for me this time with the dynamax ball vs the dball I used last time.
WTF Robert!? Front Squats and then Karen…..
Karen as Rx’d 17:04 Kept missing….a lot.
13:50 as Rx’d…im sure i did atleast 15-20 extra because Russell was strict with form and ball hitting lines perfectly:(

More difficult with the dynamax ball IMO.
Missed probably 10 or 12.

yeah I was almost exactly 2 mins slower and sweating so much the ball was super slippery which made it more challenging mentally.
