  1. Robert Montgomery says:

    Front Squats 5×3 – 135-185-205-215-215

    45 mins later

“Karen” 8:29. Much tougher for me this time with the dynamax ball vs the dball I used last time.

  2. Slade White says:

WTF Robert!? Front Squats and then Karen…..

    Karen as Rx’d 17:04 Kept missing….a lot.

  3. tracey says:

13:50 as Rx’d…im sure i did atleast 15-20 extra because Russell was strict with form and ball hitting lines perfectly:(

  4. Will Blankenship says:

More difficult with the dynamax ball IMO.

    Missed probably 10 or 12.

Props to Russell for being so strict. It quickly turned in to a mental as well as physical battle. Hearing “MISS!” or “Didn’t Count!” definitely screws up a mental rhythm. As much as I hated hearing it…..it is great for games preparation.

  7. James p says:

    5:51. new PR!!!

and it was ass to ankles in case you’re wondering, russell

did it with a D-ball that used to be a basket ball.

My last Karen tim was in the 8 min range. This time, I probably didn’t count half my reps
due to depth, and missing the target. There were several times I missed 5 in a row.

15:00 min. I probably did more like 250 because i missed so many times russel was very strict i could not hit the lines to save my life. thought i would do better but this one was alot harded then expected. tomorrow it will be 3 month that i have joined crossfit thanks to everyone there and thanks to russel for doing a kick ss job keeping me going.

  12. Craig Herr says:

That a baby Joe C!!! That workout is a mental and physical grind.

  13. Zak says:

    Back Squat 3-3-3
    Then “Karen”
Dynamax balls suck when covered with sweat.

  14. Russell says:

    As Rx’ed – 8:07

didn’t feel great for this one. When I got done my quads cramped so badly I fell over. Still walking around like a robot. I blame this on dehydration, poor meal timing, and a few days of sleeping like crap.

  15. Russell says:

I also want to point out to anyone who reads this blog and does not come to our gym that our Wall-ball shots today were graded very strictly on a 10′ target with a 6″ pass-or-fail both above and below the target line. This added an average of 2 minutes to almost everyone’s previous PR on this WOD. Not how I want to do this workout every time, but the accuracy work definitely did some interesting things to the scoreboard.

  17. Katie says:

    13:25 – 14lb ball

My last time was 11:46, so russell you are dead on with the 2 minute thing. I missed about 15 reps at least. Agree with you zak! Toward the end it was hard to hang on to the dang thing!

  18. Robert Montgomery says:

yeah I was almost exactly 2 mins slower and sweating so much the ball was super slippery which made it more challenging mentally.

  19. Tricer says:

Did the WOD with crossfit montgomery.

    AMRAP 20 min

    5 x thrusters
    7x hang power cleans
    10x SDHP

Rx = 95#. Shoulder indicated 75# was good. 7 rounds + thrusters. Should *not* have eaten mexican for lunch. I think my blood was thick like the cheese dip.

  20. Kerri says:

Good job Katie! You got me, at the end of the day….
    13:34 as rx’ed with 14# ball.
And yes, sweatfest is not our friend for this WOD….

  21. Patrick says:

    Deadlifts 3×5
    wu 135(10)-225(10)
    work 275-285-285

    DL 12-9-6

    Short Metcon
    3 rounds:
    400m row
    Max rep pull ups

  22. James p says:

well, i guess my time didn’t count. CRAP!

  23. Mandy says:

    19:03 as rx’d

  24. Clint says:

    10:06 slower by about 1:30.

  25. Garth says:

8:53. Accuracy was decent. Russ got me for some for not going deep enough.

  26. JeffWomble says:

Beat my old time by 2:32 (from my first week of crossfit).

  27. Katherine Berger says:

This was terrible. Seriously. There is nothing worse than doing physical work and it not counting. I learned that I have absolutely terrible accuracy. Not only was it difficult for me to get between the black tape, but I have an astounding ability to completely miss hitting the WALL. Yeah. That is pretty sad.
