185 pound barbell, Shoulder to overhead, 20 reps
40 Burpees

    185# was just too heavy for me today. My entire core is on fire from the situps and burpees over the last few days.

    I think Amy has been practicing Dodgeball at her school. I was horible at this yesterday. I guess I’ve lost a few moves since I last played…..in fifth grade….

    One more thought on yesterday’s article (now that I’ve actually taken the time to read it. Got caught up on enjoying everyone’s comments yesterday, so I didn’t even read it until this morning).

    Hopefully these kiddos, whose parents are worried about them getting hurt on this ‘high risk’ playground equipment, will happen across some CrossFitting parents along the way……Then, maybe they can become CrossFit Kiddos….

    Is this where Globo-Gym rats are born? The padded playgrounds? Let’s save them now, and get them all signed up for CF Kids!!

    Scaled to 155#. 10:10 I was incredibly frustrated to drop my last overhead an inch from locking out my elbows. That added probably 45 seconds by the time I got it off the ground and recovered.

    I didn’t really have a good strategy for this one, but I really had no idea how many times I would be able to put 185 overhead. I did 7 in a row, then had to do singles for the remainder. I tried to do push jerks, but they were more like push presses. A better jerk would have really helped. I did one burpee for every press each time I put the bar back in the rack and then finished with the remaining 21 burpees.

    Great pic! Amy’s face is so: “I’m about to get yo’ ass!” I would LOVE to see more of the action shots from yesterday! I love how toward the end, it just got ruthless. 🙂 I was telling Russell, I can’t imagine how hard it is to choose a pic when he takes so many cause there was some funny action going on just in our class–I can only imagine the ones he got from the other classes, too!

    Major “pitcher’s elbow” today! I hope this clears up soon. Perhaps dodge ball wasn’t the smartest thing I’ve done in a while training wise……but damn it was fun!

    We need to plan a summer Saturday Dodge Ball day. Invite the Madison CrossFitters over….make teams….make brackets and let er’ rip!

    untimed. I had a terrible day, no lunch and really didn’t want to workout… so I grinded through this one before dinner. Here’s to tomorrow…
