There is no CF in Florence, South Carolina, so I’ve been working on my POSE running and double-unders. Of course, I forgot my jump-rope, but my Dad assured me he had a great one I could borrow. He just forgot to mention it was from 1945 and made of real rope. It’s a little slow for a double-under… so I bought my own.
Went to the NASA gym to do this one, and was not pleased at all. Deadlifts have been a problem for me lately. Did the first single at 315 (10# under pr) then 225 x 10, and my form went to hell in a handbasket. Tried 330 on the second single and failed twice. Didn’t want to continue with the crappy form and injure myself, so I did lots of form work at 135.
Really need to work on keeping a tight back, I’m not sure that I am even fully locking it in before I start the lift.
155×1
115×10
185×1
115×20
200×1 (pr)last DL PR was 180
115×30(last 10 sucked so bad)
I love this rep scheme because it gives us older folks more ROM reps and for me it proves to help me get more weight. It just takes me longer to warm up now, than it did when I was 28 years old.
I am sooo happy to get 200#…Crossfit Santa’s gift to me!!!
This is just cruel…but im in.
MERRY CHRISTMAS CFHSV!

Hate that I am missing these work-outs!
To the creator of that video… would you help me wrap my Christmas presents next year?
Seriously that must have taken days!!
Hitting up Crossfit Gainesville this afternoon… looking forward to this WOD.

Today and yesterday’s workout format is horrible. I haven’t felt like a heavy lift was going to make me puke like this since “leggy-linda”
405 x 1
335 x 10
415 x 1
295 x 20 (this felt horrible)
375 x 1
245 x 30
Total- 2070
295 – 245 – 315 – 190 – 325(PR) – 175
the confusion on where to go with weight with this rep scheme is pretty interesting.
155×1
115×10
185×1
115×20
200×1 (pr)last DL PR was 180
115×30(last 10 sucked so bad)

385 x 1
315 x 10
385 x 1
275 x 20
395 x 1
225 x 30
Total= 1980
Form went to to total crap on 225 x 30, my back was toast and just wouldn’t lock in. This rep scheme is by far the worst I’v ever done.
215 x 1
185 x 10
220 x 1
165 x 20
235 x 1
145 x 30
Total-1165
Not as easy to bust out a PR on this scheme with DL, but, was good for lots of reps on this lift.
Good work Katy!!
Hope to see you all Saturday!
Merry Christmas!
Darn, no open gym tomorrow…..Woulda been bench press, the same rep scheme?!?!?!
What tha……..
215-185-220(PR)-165-225(PR)-145
Total = 1155
Thanks for pushing me Kerri!
Merry Christmas Everybody! 🙂
at home:
345 – 255 – 355 – 185 – 325 – 135 = 1600 lbs
