As many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of:
Pull-ups, 10 reps
75 pound push-press, 1o reps

Post number of rounds completed to comments.

Do you need hot or cold therapy?

Question of the day: When do you find out what the workout of the day is? Do you check the website the night before, do you wait until the last minute, or do you just show up with fingers crossed?

QOD – yep, I check the main website at night before I go to bed for two reasons. One, it helps me figure out what to pack for the next day–running sports bra (yes, unfortunately some of us need those) :), PANTS for any future rope climbs (haha)… Second, thinking about it just gets me mentally prepared and pumped up for the WOD. So, for these Rest Day WODs that don’t get posted until late morning the day-of, I basically end up packing one of “everything” in my bag cause I’ve learned my lesson with the ropeburn on my thighs and not having the right sports bra on-hand for a long run! 🙂

I am on the main site at 7:00 every night waiting for the WOD to be posted….I like to know what I am in for the next day…even if it sucks 🙂
I am with Tasha …I like to know what to pack/wear…although I have gotten to where I keep long socks in my bag at all times just in case. Plus a lot of things I have to mentally prepare for…..rope climbs, pull ups, stuff like that. Those days at work are useless because that is all I have on my mind!

looking forward to the WOD tonight…..going to need some help with taping my hands since a large chunk of my right one is missing 🙂

I’m online the previous night to see what the WOD will be. It helps mentally prepare for what’s next. I enjoy the anticipation.

    In response to the QOD:

Being the planner that I am… I check the main site before I go to bed the night before or early the morning of to make sure I’m both as mentally and physically prepared as possible for the WOD.

My problem usually lies with preparing for the warm-up. For example, I ran a 400m warm-up barefoot, because I didn’t bring my running shoes last week!

    7 rnds + 11

QOD: I check the main site in the morning and depending on how much coffee I’ve had I might have to double check prior to the 11:30 class to make sure I’m mentally ready. On Main site rest days i just show up for the surprise.

    10 Rounds

QOD: I check the wod first thing in the morning. I do it basically so I know what “gear” I need to prepare… If we’re doing rope climbs, I grab some pants. If we’re doing squats, I make sure I have some shorts that won’t blow out the ass. If we’re doing pullups, I make sure to shave/sand my hands. If we’re doing box jumps, sprints, or anything that requires any type of a “bouncing” motion, I make sure I grab the appropriate jock 😀

incredibly unmotivated/distracted today…started to make up yesterday’s wod (10 rounds of 10 kb swings, 100m run, 10 push ups, starting every 2 minutes)…got through 4 rounds in 7:09 & quit…right quad strained from something earlier in the week. Stretched a lot, worked on it, will see how it feels tomorrow. Had to have ice cream after supper to make up for the lousy workout 😉

QOD: I’m a “mix-it-upper”. Sometimes check main site, sometimes not. Lately been checking more often so I can plan substitutions for plyometric movements. I kinda like the surprise of checking the white board for the WOD.

  9. Mandee Miller says:

    8 rounds as rx’d

  10. Craig Herr says:

I check the night before mainly to make sure we don’t need to meet at the cross country course. I will confess some nights I sleep much better than others after knowing the wod.

  11. Katie says:

I check it at 5:30AM when my alarm goes off. alarm… CrossFit…snooze 🙂

  12. Todd Mc says:

    I check the night before.

  13. AlissaRamsay says:

    thanks for the article.

every night check CF sites and watch some CF videos- even if i am not working out @ CF the following day.

now i know to better prepare- especially which shoes to wear.

  14. Patrick says:

    Front Squats 3-3-3-3-3
    185-185-195-205-225(PR) with horrible rounded back
    5/3/1 Deadlifts

Did this prior to the 1630 class at Bender’s (Globo) Gym in Madison. I have to go there every now and again to remind myself how much those places suck. Exertion, grunting, clanging plates, chalk and sweat are frowned upon. But biceps curls in the squat rack are perfectly fine. We have a family membership through my wife’s job, so I’m trying not to get us kicked out. She likes to go there to run on the hamster wheels.

    today’s WOD: 10rds+10reps

  15. Tasha W says:

7 rounds in 12:05. Push press weight as rx’d, JPUs.

  16. Robert S. says:

I’m with the majority on this one. I’m checking the night before to see what kind of ass whoopin I’m going to take the next day.

For example… I’m trying to check the mainsite right now, but it is down…. THIS SUX!

  17. tracey says:

as rx’d 7rounds+15reps…i need to do some homework on my linking pu’s.
