Only one person may work at a time, until he or she accomplishes the following:

95 pound Sumo-deadlift high-pull, 10 reps
Push-ups, 10 reps

Once both athletes have finished all 20 reps, one round has been completed. Complete as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes.

Post team and number of rounds completed to comments.

    OMGoodness…thank you however invented self tanners!!!
    When I competed in Fitness America the diet was usually 12 weeks long and the last few days was water load/ then water drop, but most importantly was the tanner. Freaky to look at in person but under stage lights it appeared perfect. The dark tan made you look even leaner, showing all muscular definition. So yes it is an illusion to some degree, but it is a great finishing touch. ATLEAST 5-10lb illusion.:) ProTan is my favorite brand.

    I had an episode of cranial/rectal inversion today and went to the gym at 11:30. Called Russell to ask about the new scheduling as I had not heard about it, and luckily he was pulling into the parking lot. So, I did the team WOD by myself.

    AMRAP in 20 minutes of:
    95#SDLHP 10 reps
    10 pushups

    as rx’d, 15 rds+6 SDLHP

    A more lighthearted article than some of the more serious ones of late. Hollywood, bodybuilding, and figure competitions are all about image. Compared to steriods and diuretics, tanning is on the tame/safe side of image-enhancing techniques. Further, compared to hours in tanning beds, spray tan is again a better alternative. The results in person (not on stage) can be truly freakish. Unfortunately, there are some out there that think this sprayed-on look is street appropriate. There are some scary examples of this on one of my favorite websites: http://www.hotchickswithdouchebags.com (marginally WFS). On this site, these spray tanning addicted DBs (not dumbbell) (often from New Jersey or Las Vegas) are nicknamed Oompa Loompas.

      This site is too funny…I’ve happened across it before and was just wondering which douche canoe they paddled in on…..

    Next on deck. MRI of left knee to rule in/out meniscus tear. If nothing nasty noted on MRI then it should be knee drain + steroids and back at it.

    Damn I hope this is just bursitis.

    Very grateful for the quick ortho service. Now just praying for good results.

  6. Yesterday’s squat WOD:

    90,105,115,125,135,140 (failure on the last squat, which was funny at Matrix, as I had about four people run over to me thinking I’d just killed myself. Most noise that’s happened there in a few weeks, at least!)

    On a more serious note, these true strength exercises truly show me how much more work is ahead of me, and how much CrossFit has already brought me in short time!

    Great work Krista on the flyers for the groundbreaking. We’re posting them all over the gym! They look awesome!

    …back to my Dr. Sears study-thon for the night. See y’all in the morning.

    10 completed rounds by the buzzer, but we finished the 11th in 20:30.

    After about a week and a half off and getting hit by the sinus/congestion/general funk bug this last week, today was tough. I am sure my all-out, no shame binge eating of sweet potato casserole, carrot cake and apple pie did not help either!

    Rest 15 min then,
    For Time:
    10 Power Cleans (use 75% of 1 RM) 135#
    20 Push Ups
    9 Power Cleans 135#
    19 Push Ups
    8 Power Cleans 135#
    18 Push Ups
    etc,etc,etc…until
    1 Power Clean 135#
    11 Push Ups

    Cole and I did 11 rounds +26. Cole was pounding it out and left bleeding. Nice work, brother.
