My FAVE CF Quote of the day yesterday:

“Hey Kerri, I’ve got my first CrossFit injury in my shoulder….I’m kind of EXCITED!!” ~ Amanda Howard

    Love it!!!

Made up the Power Snatch, Snatch Balance, Overhead Squat WOD
    As Rx’d 28:30

This became all mental after about the 3rd round, I was planning on stopping after 5 rounds at about 20 minutes but figured since I wanted to stop I needed to keep going. Planning on making up Griff this afternoon hopefully. Great job to everyone this morning!!!

    Guys and gals

Joe Ritch wanted me to let everyone know he has a brand new combo dip pull up stand. It is about 8 feet tall and pretty heavy/well made. He is willing to give it to anyone that will come and take it off his hands free of charge. Please email me asap if you want this for your home gym. cherr@jsmithlanier.com

AWESOME picture, Amanda! You look so BUFF!

Split time for 800m. was about 1:51, which is really quick for me. I figure it took about 8 minutes (give or take) for me to cover the two 800m’s. That means it took me 11 minutes to run half that distance BACKWARD. What am I worse at that running forward? Running BACKWARD. On the bright side, my forward running SEEMS to be getting better after sticking to two CFE WOD’s per week (and practicing POSE)!

    • Aaron says:

Dang Lesha! Your 800m split is World Class, that’s sub-4 min mile! Are you sure that wasn’t your 400m split… 😀
      Nonetheless great job today!

    • LeshaS says:

Jeesh! Not only do I have trouble running, I can’t even explain it correctly! Whatever. Too bad none of our workouts involve shooting stuff.

I knew that first “sprint” (if you want to call it that) that a few of us did off the line was a bad choice.

Yes, the first sprint was not such a hot idea for time, as I soon found out as everybody passed me by.

    500m Row – 1:23.0
    KBS and WBS afterwards.

Figured out that setting 10 is def not the way to PR on a 500m sprint unless your name is Cole. Will drop to 7-8 for next go round.

I’m always amazed about how devastating 1:23 of exercise can be.

Did Monday’s Heavy-Thruster-Muscle-up-run workout As R’xed- 14:10. Managed to link all the thrusters and all but the last Muscle-ups. Felt about 85% of where I should be. Much better after two days of trying to reduce my daily stress intake.

17:52- 3 days of WODs with my arch nemesis involved….Oh how I love the first week of February!!!!
Oh well, I have to say these type of workouts suck (all of them that have a running portion), but they’re not near as bad since I’ve been eating clean!!!! My times aren’t great, but I don’t feel like a lead weight in sneakers either, like I have in the past….
And this continuous running stuff, is coming at a good time nearing the end of the CF Zone Challenge….helps with the positive gains!!

Thanks Tony for pushing us through in the 530….great teamwork!!!

13:21 harder than it appears. Tony you are a great cheerleader!!! Did you cheer at USMA? kidding… but the smart boys should have.:)
I’m happy with my time today.

no soup for me today…left ankle issues. started to do this on a nearby track and didn’t make it through the warm up laps.

13:40 – did this by myself at 4:30 so not sure what the exact course was.

  22. Tasha W says:

15:23. Pretty sure that was the first time in my life to run backwards (that far, at least). Calves are tight!

    • Kerri says:

Kick butt girl!!! I’m noticing the tight calves too….sore lower back, now, tight calves…soooooo, what will tomorrow bring!?!?

    • Tasha W says:

Hmmm… Here’s a shot at a prediction: “Tomorrow we get the satisfaction of knowing that on Thursday, we rest!” 🙂 (Or, at least that’s the case for me, hehe.) Good job to you, as always, girl! I need some new Sweaty Bands–my hair was all over the place tonight!

  23. Jake Naumcheff says:

Happy with this since it was the second WOD for me today

  24. Emily D. says:

18:51. Man my legs are still jello.

HUGE thanks to Tony for basically running the last half of the workout with me!!! Really pushed me……I do better if I have someone yelling at me 🙂

    And Kelly tomorrow? Boo…hiss!!!
