    Really want to do Barbara, but most of the affiliates around here are a week behind the main site, which means 70-60-50-40-30 workout. I did that twice last week and don’t care to do it again. I’m going to go find a park with a pullup bar and try Barbara.

    Find a tree on the mall and do Babs there. Nice….a puker WOD on the national mall. That would make a great pic!

      Great idea. Last time I did Babs I did almost lose my lunch. I will go to the Mall and see what I can. Then when the kids visit later in the week and we are visiing monuments I will take them to the tree where their father puked doings babs. I’m sure they will be proud.

    30:17 as rx’d. Wow. Barbara is a killer! Pull-ups really mess up my time. I have to get a pull-up bar at home. I’m just glad I finished, thanks to Jake who let me go 2 minutes over the cut-off.

    PR by 3 minutes. First 3 rounds of pullups unbroken. Pushups and situps were rough in rounds 3-5. Felt sick for about 20 minutes afterwards, which seems to be pretty standard for this one.

    First 2 rounds of pullups unbroken, then 10, 5, 5. Tried to do real pushups (not flop and peel) so my arms gave out and ended up with singles for the last 10. All situps unbroken.

    PR by over 4 minutes. If I hadn’t of done this one with Kevin it would have taken me over 20 minutes.
    2:34, 2:52, 3:13, 3:27, 3:40

    Really focused on pushing my knees out on my squats and it helped a ton! Pull-ups, and sit-ups were all unbroken. Push-ups were gone after about the 3rd round.

    Finished 4 rounds….Last 2 scaled on reps.

    Squat form is still my arch enemy. Off on a biz trip tomorrow, won’t be back at the gym till next Monday! Will see what kinda facilities the hotel I will be staying at has.

    Babs, you dirty beeyotch! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I scaled w JPUs. Just couldn’t get my chin over bar today w reg PUs. 4:22, 5:09, 5:23, 5:02. We were cut off at 30 min instead if the 40 on the board, so I was waiting for 5th round when Russell called time. I’m ok with just 4, haha. It was beyond HOT in there and it took me forever to cool down….

      Whoops! That made my time total: 20:26 for the four rounds at our 30 min cut-off.

    32:08 with JPUs

    First time my squats actually felt pretty good. Focused on pushing my knees out and did them in sets of 10….never really got burned out completely. Hands are still hurting like a mofo though….even with jumping

    Jordan came out to work today and we ran the top half of the FFCC course at our training area.

    WOD was 3 rounds of the top half w/ rest as needed between rounds.

    29:45(pr) as rx’d. hands hurt like mofo fo sho!!! thats what kills me every time. I like Babs and I will continue to chip away at her each time she comes around. BITCH

    Tomorrow is gonna be a good one. I love dumbbell work…Its the ONLY thing that globo gyms gave me strength in. Otherwise I was lost like the rest of them, running aimlessly on the treadmill like a hamster on its wheel.

    16:52 – first time doing this one, and subsequently brought on my first time meeting pukie after a WOD. 2:40-2:54-3:06-4:05-4:07 felt solid on the first three and then fell apart on the last two, damn I hate sit-ups!!!

    25:14 which is 5 min over PR.
    Sit ups my nemesis.
    Squats slow.
    Pull ups unbroken.
    Push ups…who knows, just get through them.
    Note to self: 4 hrs of yard work with the obligatory “beer an hour” might not be the best idea before Barbara.

    I took Kevin’s challenge and found a spot on the National Mall to do Barbara. Most of the trees were limbed to high, but I did find a pine tree near the Lincoln Monument that thick enough and about 9.5 feet in the air. Big jump and lots of pine sap on my hands. Pine sap hands into pushups on pine needles = big messy hands. Still trying to clean them off.

    Barbara –
    4:15, 4:51, 6:04, 6:30, 6:22 = 28:02

    shoulder was weak on pushups. First time pressing on it in over 5 weeks. squats were slow from yesterdays workout. Overall very fun. I highly recommend Nature Babs!

    We had a running day today…1 mi, 3 min rest, repeat, repeat.
    30:32 total time, with mi. splits of 7:46, 8:45, & 8:31…still having right quad issues, but really can’t blame that for the fact that I’m just SLOW!!!
