    Sorry guys, I could of sworn I posted this at 6am… guess not.

    on the video, If I was Gary Taubes I would have just ignored that bimbo from the biggest loser. Bringing her onto the show was about as fitting as having carrot top as a commentator on a debate about the economy.

    Did my 1ST Ring Muscle Up today finally!!Bar Muscle ups no prob but the rings were frustrating the crap out of me.

    75-85-95-105-115(failed at rep 3.5)-115(failed at rep 4.5)-115×5!

    Looking forward to working on band assisted Muscle up progressions, especially once I can get the bands out of the way! Had to get kids to school today so I had to leave after only doing a couple of them.

    Way to go Mandee on getting 5 of your 1RM on OHS!! 🙂

    Heading to buy new running shoes in a couple of hours. Prolly just gonna hit Fleet Feet since that’s usually where I have done my shoe purchasing in the past. Is this list (from your email in January) still the valid Fleet Feet list? Are there any others there to consider?

      as long as those are all still shoes they carry. I haven’t been in for a while. Just don’t let them talk you into anything bulky and/or with a squishy heel. They are just doing their job when they try to sell you that type of shoe but they don’t understand that it really doesn’t work well for CrossFit. Go with the lowest heel, lightest, least-stabilizing shoes first.

      Got it, thanks. Yep–my last pair from there has a heel so squishy it makes noise when I walk. I do like their frequent buyer program, though–the $20 gift certificates I get from time to time come in handy!

    Day 2 w/ Crossfit Camp Slayer:
    5 rounds of 400m run, 10 clean & jerks for time.

    Had to stop after 3+1 more run to get back to the office, & it was really more clean & push press for me, but did the first 2 rounds w/115# & the third w/95# + run #4 in 19:47.

    They’ve really grown in the last month! There were 18 people today…one of the regulars said that 2 months ago they were averaging 5 or 6 folks per session…outstanding!

      Russell continues to be a freak. Just missed on the 5th rep of 215. I outweigh him by 50ish pounds and he pretty much matches on OHS and snatch.

      He is nasty!!!

    Form still and always needs work but stoked about getting 135×5. This was a failed 1 rep max attempt 100226.

    55 was my previous 1 rep max from Feb.

    Right arm still goes numb when doing OHS for an extended period of time (last rep of Round 4, last 2 reps of Round 5), but the doc says I’ll be OK. I’m trying some recommended PT exercises to see if it helps.

      Katy let me know what your doc recommended. I’ve never found anything other than heavy overhead lifts and handstand work to make it better.

    Gotta get better at consistently sitting back on my heels, so, I get get full depth in the squat.

    Same song, really tough to stay on my heels when I’m tired. My first attempt at 55 produced 3 really good squats, but all downhill after I tired out…

    Snatched to 205, failed 215 multiple times then finally realized what I was doing was stupid. Held off the 5th round of OHS b/c shoulder and wrist told me to stop or they would do something nasty to me. (I’m learning to listen)

    20 min rest then,
    Prowler Sled Pushes: 90# added weight
    5 rounds of 40 yds (20yds down vertical horns/ 20yds back horizontal bar)
    1 min rest between rounds.
