How to stretch you back bits– Mobility WOD
“Mic’d Up with Pat Sherwood” by CrossFit Again Faster, CrossFit Journal preview video [wmv] [mov]
did this yesterday as a 150 pound bodyweight actual is around 148)
225 DL
150 Bench
115 Power clean
11:43
A little slow for me but not bad. Kind of sandbagged from the start thinking I was going to save it for wednesday, but then went fast in the end.
I remember many o’ times when Robert would be all kinds of bummed out if ever he had to miss a WOD, & I never really got it…well, I get it now! Thanks to Redstone Arsenal FD, I don’t get to WOD today & I’m uber butt hurt about it! This is the first benchmark WOD that’s come up since I started & I was stoked about it 🙁
YAY!! OT got cancelled!! I can do LINDA!! Whodathunk I’d be so excited to do Linda? (he he he, I’m gonna do Linda)
I wondered what was wrong with you?!?!? Hehehe….glad you get to do Linda 🙂
LOL! Kristi, this makes me laugh! I’m so happy you get to do Linda, too! 🙂
I will be there cheering you all on. (No Linda for me – I will be doing Baby Helen, which really just sounds even weirder!) 🙂
Haha, Tasha that’s funny! Hopefully I will see you inbetween classes, it’s been forever!!!
Thanks Tasha! I may have to hit the 5:30 class, I gotsta get my hair did & don’t know if she’ll be done in time for the 4:30.
I hope to see you either way! (and yes, “doing” Baby Helen trumps Linda)
woot woot 5:30!!!
Miss y’all & hope to see ya, too! I will be running, though, as we have childbirth class tonight at 6:30 & I’ll have to clean up, change & eat dinner before it starts! If I don’t see you, maybe Thursday?
Yeah, I’ll be there Thursday…maybe see you then!!
Did this one in a little less than 24:00. Not sure exactly because I started after Ron finished his DL and I didn’t look at the clock when I started. BW is 180, but I did 225/135/115 because I needed to scale the bench press and I wasn’t going to push for the other two if I had to scale one of them.
My plan to do two WODs today has resulted in me being pretty pissed at myself. Did Linda at lunch and I am not happy with the results.
24:54
Rounds 10 & 9 as rx’d (240, 160, 120)
Everything went to crap after that. Scaled the DL to 210 and bench to 140. Stayed rx on the clean. I have never had to scale this WOD. In fact I did it 5# heavier than rx’d last time. This makes me angry. I suppose I will take it out on the CFFB WOD tonight. On a good note the cleans felt good today.
Rx’d
24:15 (210/140/105)
Clock said 25 even when I finished but I started :45 after Robert finished his DLs. First time doing Linda all the way through as rx’d, stoked I did all BP’s unbroken. I might have shaved a couple minutes off if I didn’t have to stop and add or remove plates, but then again the extra rest more than likely helped on the BP’s. I guess I’ll never know. I’m not complaining though, I <3 Linda and partnering with Robert, he always brings the intensity…even if some of his screams were because he was scarred by Ryan's playlist.
Scaled in 20:25 (125/55/65)
DL: 165 / BP: 75 / CL: 65 rounds 10 -> 5,85 rounds 4 -> 1.
23:31… forgot to subtract my start time on the white board at the gym.
Thanks katy and julie for letting me work in w y’all!
Scaled to approx 75% of body weight in 22:42 – 235/155/115
Scaled to 225/135/115 in 22:43
Scaled: 175/100/95 Made it 10–>4 in <26 min.
Linda was tough, but I really liked that wod….I think that's my first time with her.
Correction: I did it on 11/28/09
205/105/95-10->8
Big improvement, but not sure if it’s because I went from 205# down to 175# on the DL, or if I’m just that much stronger in my upper body. Went down 5# on BP this time, but got 22 extra reps of everything.
Not sure what the cutoff was back in Nov, but I bet it was either 25 or 30.
“Baby Helen” – 13:45 (I think that’s right….)
3 rds, 400m row/20 one-arm kb swings (8kg)/12 ring rows
