Nice. Been waiting for a rematch. I have a time to beat!

    • Kerri says:

So do I KLowe….Bring it on!!
Don’t you want Russell to reconstruct the WB Apparatus, JUST for the rematch!?!? =o)

    • klowe says:

wait. I posted that prior to the memory of not being able to walk and writhing around in agony for about 10 minutes post WOD.

No. I’m not looking forward to this.

    • Tasha W says:

But, Kerri, the WB Apparatus was “unfair” and “the target was too small,” remember? 😉 Oh, the memory of those whiny posts on the Sectionals page just came rushing back to me….

  2. aj says:

    sectional WOD!!

  3. Tasha W says:

HAAAAA-LARIOUS article! My fav quote is the one under the pic: “Two female bodybuilders: the difference is DRUGS, not lifting weights.”

    • Kerri says:

Yeah, thought it was a good article too…That woman is SCARY!!!

    • Emily D. says:

I wouldn’t want to see that “woman” in a dark alley…eek!

I can’t even count how many people have told me to be “careful” with Crossfit….that I should watch and make sure I don’t get “manly”…pfffttt….strong, athletic women are SEXY as hell!

The fact that I have some sort of arm muscle for the first time in my life makes me one happy girl…..and the people that think that is not feminine can suck it 🙂

    • Emily D. says:

      and my fav quote:

“Girls deserve to have strong muscles and bones and ligaments and tendons, etc. AND look good in their undies too!”

    • Patrick says:

What would make a woman want to take that much testosterone? I wonder how many cycles it took her to get that freaky looking? What would really be cool is a 5yrs after steroids picture. Will probably look like an unfit dude.

  4. Larry Lowe says:

18:09 – over 5 minutes off of the 12:50 I got at sectionals. Heat, humidity, long distance running on off days, terrible diet, not lifting heavy enough… lot’s of excuses, but the fact is I’m slower and weaker right now.

  5. Aaron says:

14:40 Scaled. Did first 21 DLs as rx’d then dropped to 225. My lower back was not cooperating this morning so I thought it best to drop weight.

I feel your frustration Larry. I finished this at Sectionals as rx’d in 14:29. Can we add “too early in the morning for my back to handle a heavy load” to the excuse pile too? Oh, and I noticed my shoes were tied wrong too. 🙂

  6. aj says:

14:40…Got through the first 2 rds as rx then my back started to get sloppy so dropped to 245.

    Fun WOD no doubt.

  7. Tye says:

12:30 at 225 lbs. Two hours later and my legs still don’t feel right.

  8. Jake Naumcheff says:

    Rx’d
    8:32

    PR by 1:30

  9. Mandee Miller says:

    12:59 as rx’d

  10. Karen says:

9:31 as rx’d. PR by 2:42! Still couldn’t catch the Queen, Kerri, though! Tear it up, girl!

    • Kerri says:

I’m just glad to see you and Jake’s PRs!!!! Way to go! Whew!! Was scared to walk into the gym, for fear of facing the same frustrations!!!

Hoping to beat my time, although I’ve forgotten just exactly what it was…..I just remember I was chasing Michelle Kenney on this WOD…and, well, she’s in Cally this weekend, and, well, I’m not!!! =o)

Excited to see how the Dirty South represents this weekend!!

    • Karen says:

Checked the results last night, because I had forgotten my time as well. You were 3rd with 8:25. My 9:31 even wasn’t close but still pretty stoked with a 2:42 PR!

Y’all are going to have to keep me updated on the Games! I have to work ALL weekend! Gonna see if I can break some rules and use my laptop anyway, but that may not work!

    • Kerri says:

Hey, 9:31 was just outta the top 5, so, DEF not too shabby, and a GREAT improvement!….Will try to keep you posted on our Dirty South contenders if you aren’t able to sneak your laptop in….

  11. Daniel says:

    10:11 as rx’d

  12. Tasha W says:

    10:40, 125# DL, WB as rx’d

    • Tasha W says:

Oops!! I just realized that, yes, I started at 125#, but it felt like I was straining in the belly so I switched the plates from 45 to 35’s. I was actually at 105#. My bad!! Don’t wanna misrepresent!!

  13. Dennis B says:

    Today’s WOD as RXd = 9:26
Not sure if that beats my sectional time or not, all I know is the young buck beat me two days in a row. Deadlifts unbroken, but I spend too much time looking at that ball. My nemesis.

Good job to all that hit the WOD hard and fast while using good form today.
Congrats to Karen and Jake for PRs.

Train Hard, Train Smart, Train to Survive. Dennis

  14. Emily D. says:

    12:06 135#/10#

Thanks to Tracey for pushing me today…..needed that! Could NOT catch my breath …..not sure what was up…..just gasped for air the entire WOD.

Body is so sore from yesterday

  15. Kerri says:

    7:38-PR by 47 seconds
First DLs unbroken, but then got psyched out about repping them out after that.

Still didn’t beat the top time at Sectionals, but woulda bumped up to 2nd with this. (And, ANYTHING that I can say I beat Michelle Kinney at, I’ll TAKE IT!-bec more than likely, that’s not gonna last for long, and, prob the ONLY time that’s ever gonna happen!)

PR’ing is always a good day!

  16. Penelope says:

Same weight as 3/4 (105#, 8#) for benchmark; reduced time by almost 10 minutes – from 19:15 (3/4) to 9:50 (today)

  17. Lynn says:

12:59 wbs as rx-ed- started w/ 115#, but like Tasha, had a strange tightening in the abd- sigh…guess it’s all about maintenance at this point-thanks again Mandee for helping me clean up my mess of weights so I can greet patients at 7am with a sweaty smile:)Great workout-

  18. Josh says:

as Rx’d – 6:11 Great job to everyone who PR’d. You are all making some awesome strides in your performance and it is exciting to watch! Nice work by Tracey and Jake keeping us moving and motivated.

    • Kerri says:

Great Job Josh, and KLowe!!! I knew if y’all were side by side, it’d be a close race!! Way to keep moving practically non-stop!!

  19. klowe says:

    6:15 (PR by 1:25)
I’m a huge believer in competition makes you faster. Me and Josh were in a dragrace the entire WOD. I was pushing myself as hard as possible while still noting that he was ahead of me. It motivated and pushed me harder than I wanted to. Almost tied him but had a miss and honestly it mentally broke me…..instead of repping the last 4+1 out faster on the last set….I dropped the ball and stared at it.

Great atmosphere in there today at the 5:30.

I’m absolutely have to discover how to use my hamstrings. Time to do lots of skill work and go back to day one.

    • tracey says:

You are a total beast! but if you had the strength from the backside(hams) God only knows what you could do. Still great job!!!
You are so right about not cleaning form during a metcon….its super hard to do when you are going for it. Great effort from you and Josh!!!! Motivating to myself and the others as well.

  20. tracey says:

9:34 as rx’d (pr)11:57 at sectionals. Didn’t feel like a pr considering alot of my time was spent on the 12 ” target misses (sectionals). NOT THE SAME AT ALL. I do feel like my pain tolerance has improved for deadlifts though.

  21. Patrick says:

13:09 as Rx Sectional time was 19:19. The slowest time before the DNFs.
Of course I gave myself credit for a lot of WBs that would not have counted at the Sectional. So not really a fair comparison.

  22. Barry S says:

We did a version of crazy 8’s today…supposed to be a 20 min AMRAP:
    8 cleans
    8 ring dips
    8 box jumps

Subbed push-press for cleans (everybody else did power cleans, anyway) since hamstrings are still messed…75# first round, then 95# remainder. red band on last 3 rounds of ring dips to get full range.

Started on ring dips, so counting from there, 7 + 16

  23. Justin says:

    9:47
Did this at home and subbed 45lb barbell thrusters for wallball shots. Sectional time was 10:17. This was probably slower because I’m pretty sure I did about 40 extra reps on wallball at sectionals. Thanks to my daughter I made it through the first round, then had to help her, so I had to restart. That probably didn’t help my time much.
