(toes on 5lb plates to keep me on me heal)
Cleaned all weight except for when Robb helped me once. Thanks Robb!
felt weird today. Not all there.
135-145-155-165-170(x)-170(x)-170(PR)
After 2 failures at 170, Russell had me attempt to press 245, then immediately try 170 again. After trying 245, 170 felt pretty light, and the weight went up without much trouble.
BTW, in Mark Rippetoe’s book, he says putting stuff under your toes to get correct form is a terrible crutch because you are not addressing the problem – only striking your ego to keep pushing heavy weight.
65-75-85-85-85x (went up on toes)-85-85x- Have PR’ed higher than this before in the 1-3-5 workout, but, I imagine my heels did NOT stay down….Damn the form!!!!
This one was an ego killer. I was hoping to PP 190-200 today, but the highest I got without my heels coming off the ground was 165. Time to reevaluate my 1RM on this one.

185 is my PR but I need to work on using hips instead of legs for the power on the push press.

Go onto toes like everyone else.

I guess that is why Russell refused to let us budge! He even held my heels down during FGB!
Well….where was Rippetoe today? I could have used that tidbit prior to my little plates plan.
