For those competiting in Faction Games, here is a link for lifting stones.

    • Kerri says:

See, last week, I told y’all we oughtta add Atlas Stones to the CFHSV toolbox,(along with the VW Bug suggestion) when KLowe was blasting away the heavy Deadlifts….

      Now, we REALLY need them!!!

Thanks for finding and sharing Karen!! =o)

  2. Justin says:

    Toes to bar were slow.

  3. Aaron says:

    2 + 42 at 14 min cutoff. Scaled to 75 pounds.

Everything was slow today. Felt a pinch in my right arm everytime it was overhead. The stretch work on the roller and racket balls helped a ton. I should have done it before the wod, instead of afterward.

  4. Emily D. says:

    nice link!

“Yeah. Now go for a run, fatty.”

  5. Larry Lowe says:

This one is a lot worse than it looks. Linked first 15 ttb, then it all went to crap.

  6. aj says:

    10:29 rx…

Absolutely insane that they had this as 1 of 3 Workouts in one WOD at the games. With a cap of 7 minutes! Much Much worse then it looks.

  7. Kyle Mosier says:

2 rounds + 4 as Rx’d – I seriously underestimated this one. The ttb were tough!

  8. Tasha W says:

I really like this pic! Nice tat, whoever that is!!

  9. Kerri says:

Love the Athlete Profile for Faction KLowe!! Just love it!

I wonder if/how I can incorporate digging postholes and vaccinating cattle into mine…

  10. Robert S. says:

    2+5 @ 14 minutes

    Tough WOD.

  11. Ron Wood says:

2 + 20 at 14 min cutoff rx’d. Bad ground to overhead form – hopefully one day my brain and body will connect for this stuff.

  12. Karen says:

    17:13 as rxed. (2 rounds + 14 ttb @ 14:00 cutoff)

  13. Karen says:

Oops it was 21 Ttb at 14min. Sorry!

  14. Will Blankenship says:

As rxd. 2 rnds at 14.

Hands started tearing quick which made the TTB’s slow and painful. Did power snatches for all overheads.

QOD: I’m not an interior decorator, but I do like the raw feeling of our current hell hole. I think it just needs to be an atmosphere that keeps us true to our style of fitness.

Every time I stop by Matrix to take a shower I’m completely amazed. First, at how freezing ass cold it is in there, which must make the globo workouts super tough. Also, the cleanliness… it makes me feel dirty.

  15. Jason Terry says:

ok – almost 2 weeks after the max bench/pullup workout i can straighten my left arm out again! going to have to take it easy working back into this thing. SCALED to 55# 30T2B/21 20K2E/21 10T2B/21….12:17. No comments on the paint color but I was thinking Blood Red and Bruise Purple!

  16. Aaron says:

Ditto Jason and Will. I was thinking about the QOD last night and all I could think about was if Behr could match blood, sweat, tears and chalk?

  17. klowe says:

paint the gym the color of humility, pain, and exhaustion.

  18. klowe says:

    What is CrossFit?

Gotta what the whole thing to see Russell being a badass.

  19. Mandee Miller says:

    2 rounds + 5 at 14min cutoff as rx’d

  20. Gina says:

QOD: I’ve been thinking about this since last night! Of course, I do have an opinion and here it is. I would love for it to stay raw looking. So, how about a true gray with blood red and black accents. Would love to see a HUGE mural of barbed wire or a funky tattoo in black! BTW…the building looks great from the outside. Will it say Crossfit Huntsville above the entrance???

    • tracey says:

Im with Gina. Use our new symbol (H) as logo on wall. I really just want walls, roof and air flow.

  21. joe c says:

1RD+37 scaled to 75.over head is very weak need to work on my form.

  22. Robert S. says:

Sheetrock, tape, no paint, and kick a few holes in it. Boom, it will be just like the CFHSV we all love…

    • Robert S. says:

Find a local Tattoo artist that like to paint murals, and have them do something like CF Fenway.

    • Kerri says:

WOD: As Rx’ed-2 rds even in 14:00 min cut-off

QOD: I think we have a couple of talented artists amongst the CF family….that would be really cool to have some of ‘our own’ do the work. =o)

I’m with the flat gray/slate with red/black accents.

And, maybe on another wall (in the more ‘finished’ areas), or even in the dressing rooms, halls, front entrance, have some of Russell’s best B&W WOD pics enlarged and arranged in collages. I <3 photography, and think this would be a neat personal touch, to show the element of family/community that we have.

    • Gina says:

      Kerri….Love Love the collage idea!!!!

  23. Garrett D says:

dark gray or black walls with red splatter paint maybe?

  24. tracey says:

powder blue and bronze for the ladies room…brushed cooper fixtures. I may move in. 🙂

  25. Tasha W says:

2 rds + 12, 45# ground to oh, and 21 knees to chest.

  26. LeshaS says:

Scaled with 15 toe to bar each round. Ground to overhead as rx.
    At 14:00 cut-off: 2 rounds + 11 ground to overhead (all snatches).

  27. dunnbball says:

At Crossfit Firebase in Orlando, FL…

    AMRAP in 12 Minutes of:
    5 Deadlifts @ 155lbs
    250m Run
    8 Burpees

    Finished 5 rounds + 250m run

  28. klowe says:

    rx: 11:15
-watching the CF games really helped me on this one. I forgot which athlete it was but he had a great “double harmonic” kip going once he lost his first TTB kip. Normally I’m all singles after losing my first TTB mojo. Tonight it was 4’s and 3’s.

-if is wasn’t obvious enough already. The “double harmonic” term is not mine. I thank my engineer genius brother for that lingo. Thanks Larry.

    -reverse hypers are the devil

  29. Jake Naumcheff says:

Nice job to Klowe and Ty for handing it to me today.

  30. Patrick says:

    2rd + 37 at 14 min cutoff

QOD: Okay, I’m no decorator but pick a color card with 2 shades of grey that you like. One light and a second 2 shades darker. Starting at floor: light grey up about 3 feet, then a 6 inch blood red stripe, dark grey up to 10 feet, a second blood red stripe, light grey up to the ceiling. A deep bruise purple would also work well for accents/stripes.
You can use the upper stripe as the WB target and the dark grey will hide heel marks from HSPU. That’s all I got.
