Toes to bar were slow.
2 + 42 at 14 min cutoff. Scaled to 75 pounds.
Everything was slow today. Felt a pinch in my right arm everytime it was overhead. The stretch work on the roller and racket balls helped a ton. I should have done it before the wod, instead of afterward.

This one is a lot worse than it looks. Linked first 15 ttb, then it all went to crap.
Absolutely insane that they had this as 1 of 3 Workouts in one WOD at the games. With a cap of 7 minutes! Much Much worse then it looks.

QOD: I’m not an interior decorator, but I do like the raw feeling of our current hell hole. I think it just needs to be an atmosphere that keeps us true to our style of fitness.
Every time I stop by Matrix to take a shower I’m completely amazed. First, at how freezing ass cold it is in there, which must make the globo workouts super tough. Also, the cleanliness… it makes me feel dirty.

ok – almost 2 weeks after the max bench/pullup workout i can straighten my left arm out again! going to have to take it easy working back into this thing. SCALED to 55# 30T2B/21 20K2E/21 10T2B/21….12:17. No comments on the paint color but I was thinking Blood Red and Bruise Purple!

QOD: I’ve been thinking about this since last night! Of course, I do have an opinion and here it is. I would love for it to stay raw looking. So, how about a true gray with blood red and black accents. Would love to see a HUGE mural of barbed wire or a funky tattoo in black! BTW…the building looks great from the outside. Will it say Crossfit Huntsville above the entrance???

Find a local Tattoo artist that like to paint murals, and have them do something like CF Fenway.

I’m with the flat gray/slate with red/black accents.
And, maybe on another wall (in the more ‘finished’ areas), or even in the dressing rooms, halls, front entrance, have some of Russell’s best B&W WOD pics enlarged and arranged in collages. I <3 photography, and think this would be a neat personal touch, to show the element of family/community that we have.

-watching the CF games really helped me on this one. I forgot which athlete it was but he had a great “double harmonic” kip going once he lost his first TTB kip. Normally I’m all singles after losing my first TTB mojo. Tonight it was 4’s and 3’s.
-if is wasn’t obvious enough already. The “double harmonic” term is not mine. I thank my engineer genius brother for that lingo. Thanks Larry.

QOD: Okay, I’m no decorator but pick a color card with 2 shades of grey that you like. One light and a second 2 shades darker. Starting at floor: light grey up about 3 feet, then a 6 inch blood red stripe, dark grey up to 10 feet, a second blood red stripe, light grey up to the ceiling. A deep bruise purple would also work well for accents/stripes.
You can use the upper stripe as the WB target and the dark grey will hide heel marks from HSPU. That’s all I got.
