you can’t see the plates in this picture, but she’s got 100 pounds on that bar.
65-65-65-65-65–65-75-75-75 worked on form first time doing this work out.
Finished Augusta Half Ironman on Sunday! Feel like I should take a couple days off from training. Anyone have any experience with recovery time? Need? I would love to get right back into it but not sure… any advice?
Muscle-up practice 15 min–0 success
Awesome job Katherine!!!!
You recommend starting low and working up like that? Or should ya have started higher?
In my case, it helped to start slow and stay steady in order to master form. When I got 100, it felt as easy as 75 simply because the form worked. People with more experience at this lift (and who consequently have better form) could start higher and move up more quickly (in my opinion 🙂
Oh, and that shouldve been 55-65-65 not 55

Diet fail but the 12oz Tuna filet was fantastic.
Great work Katherine. Karen was knocking em out today too.
Now me…that’s another story. My over head squat is still crap, so all I was really doing today was power snatch with a little dip at the end. Still can’t get all the way down like I need too.
I am Snatch’s bitch….soooo frustrating
85, 95, 105, 115, 115, 125, 125
I really like this lift, but I’m not good enough with the technique to go heavy yet. Can’t wait till next time.
My abs are still painfully sore, so I skipped out again today. After the ghd’s friday and then 100 situps during angie saturday, I could barely stand up straight on Sunday, and yesterday wasn’t much better. I think I should have scaled the ghd’s or something.
Stayed at 55lbs the whole time. First time doing this, worked on not being scared to get under the bar.
Mandee booted Courtney and me for higher weights…
First time for this and I just like to muscle the bar over my head, so I, too, and form flunky.
55 – 65 – 75 (f) – 65 – 65 – 70 – 70
Form was really the issue here. Getting under the weight, then getting under the weight SOLID was my issue. Got under 95 but was loose at the “catch” so I lost the weight.
Back Squats: 5×5 @ 90% of 5rm: 255-255-255-255-255
Lets see…my heels are up, arms pulling,my hips are muted . Other than that I rock!!! Had time to do 45-55-65. I will really have to mentally parctice these. Its hard for all the form issues to come together. It looks really cool when its done correctly though. 🙂
Great pic Kat !
55 – 65 – 75 – 85(PR) – 95(x) – 95(x) – 95(x) – 95(x) – 95(x) – 95(x)
On duty so I did this one at the NASA gym, which wasn’t the best. Today was my first time doing this lift so I worked with 95# and 105#. I have plenty of form issues to overcome on this and most of the other Oly lifts that i’ve done.
After working on the snatch I did a few cleans at 155# and 15 reps of 36in box jumps.
Not using my hips as much as I should for power, and SO afraid of dropping under like the perfect example in the pic. Really wanted to see a great lift like that in action. I know this fear is only overcome by working on overhead squats….Here we go!
this evening I did endurance WOD. Hill repeats 10 x w/ 5x recovery rest in btwn. This was a great one. Everyone needs to try this one. My stamina has really improved by adding in the endurance workouts.
First time with 1rm snatch (surprisingly)
135, 145, 155, 165, 175, 185x, 185, 195xxx, 190PR
HoboGym attempt at this WOD. Did the Burgener warm up with PVC and then the bar. Felt tweaky and wrong and I had no idea why, needed a coach…so, 45 min of yoga instead. Body just didn’t want to pick up heavy sh_t today. Snatched the bar a couple times after the yoga and it felt much better…weird.
Great job KAT!
