12:29/385, (55#x7) scaled to 70 single-unders. I’m just so uncoordinated when it comes to jumping rope.

DU still need work. Good work 0600!

I was VERY sick all weekend and didn’t get to follow the Games too closely (or, really, at all….) I just went to YouTube and caught a recap of all 3 days. You guys – those WODs were NO joke! WOW!! Congrats to all of you for making it and working your tails off down there. Truly mind blowing thinking about what everyone accomplished and how hard you all worked. I’m really proud of everyone! Hope the recovery is going well and can’t wait to hear about the experience.

Really took my time and focused on the snatches. Started at 125 and missed the first one, but stuck the next 4 so I went up to 130 on the last two. I felt more solid receiving the bar than I ever have.

Squat therapy for me and hamstring stretches.

  6. Devonne says:

Okay…a big deal for me, but was about to overhead squat 45 pounds today. Still need to concentrate on being on my heels…but a big step forward forward for me :-).

    • DaveC says:

That’s great Devonne. That whole overhead squat thing (incl. squat snatch and snatch balance) is easily the most difficult thing for me. It just hurts, and its usually a comedy of errors when I try it.

10:56 was my time with single-unders. I got into the 60s several times before tripping up. Doubles still seem hopelessly out of reach. 450 on the snatches. I missed the second one while trying to adjust for being a little winded. Never thought I’d enjoy a workout that involved a jump rope, but I did like that one once it was over.
