Hey everybody, CFHSV 4th of July is only two days away. If you plan on coming, please see the sign-up sheet in the gym. This will be a pot luck and BYOB. Look forward to having ya’all over to our house!
Yeah….I saw DB and Mandee talking behind me. This was a hang snatch at the end of a very long chipper. DB kept telling me to do it again…but I could not breath. Thanks for the encouragement. I will be 58 on Wednesday. Crossfit works every time it’s tried. 🙂
For all you BBOLC folks that were unable to make it to Nashville this weekend you missed a great experience. USAW is nothing like a Crossfit competition. It is just you, all eyes from the crowd and the weight. No where to hide. The look on Mandee’s face when she hit her C&J PR was priceless.
And yep–If you have not heard Jordan Pepe qualified for the USAW Sr National Championships in the 155lb weight class by 16 Kg and hit a 96Kg C&J for a PR. Like her coach said…It went up “like it was a toy”. Proud Dad. Will be going to the Nationals in Ohio July 28. Watch this:

It was a great experience and very different from CrossFit. And yes, Jordan Pepe treated those weights like toys! You should be proud and it was great to see her in action.
Congratulations Jordan!
Nice job mandee!! And wow that video was great! Looked great Jordan!
Does anyone have any crutches that I can borrow?
Kirsti doesn’t go back to TOC until Monday, July 8th, and she slightly reinjured her ankle last night.
She’s hopping around on one leg, and I think it’d be a tad more tolerable for her (and possibly safer) if she was able hobble around on crutches instead of one leg.
THANKS!!
Scratch this request…K went to the ER, and now in addition to the sprained ankle, has a strained/sprained Achilles….We got a prescription for meds and crutches, so we’re good to go!!
Thank you!
A. 3 x 225, 3 x 225, 3 x 235, 3 x 245, 3 x 255

Nathaniel and Dennis were crazy fast at this one!
Oldest has swim meet tonight, can do CFE. Going to try a variation of this one at home. Totally slipping, have even made it all the way to the gym a couple times only to realize I was missing some crucial item needed to put kiddos in the nursery. Will not fall off the wagon!! Or is that get back on the wagon? Whichever, I’m not going to let a bad week keep me away!!
“can’t” do CFE that is
Your efforts are paying off Paul!!
A WOD I made up at the Fire Station:
3 Rounds for Time: 5 Thrusters @ 155#
10 Deadlifts @ 315#
10 Burpees
Time: 11:22 We got a medical call in between the 2nd and 3rd round. Came back to the Fire Station and did 3rd round in 2:22
If I could have averaged 2:22 my total time would have been 7:02 and not 11:22 but I’ll take it.
Missing ya Steve!
