…so much for trying to dial it back before this weekend, great work from Justin and Tye this morning.

Lot’s of sweating and hard work at the 6am class.

Brutal wod. I think Aaron passed me on the first 3 runs which made me run a little faster that I really wanted to.

The lead changes were fun until I couldn’t keep up on the burpees. You were between 3 to 5 burpees ahead when we finished the first 3 rounds but as soon as you pulled ahead by more than 5 I was toast. Tye is right you are a burpee machine, great work!

26:15 – Thanks to the 6am class for the warm welcome this morning!

I tried to stay as consistent as I could for each round, felt like I did a decent job with that. On a side note, Justin is a machine when it comes to burpees.

I’ll see you all again on August 16th as I’m headed to MT for a backpacking trip. Good luck to everybody that’ll be competing this weekend, I’m sure CFHSV will be represented well.

24:23 scaled to 15 burpees. hot as blazes! felt like i had to keep running to keep breathing.

Tried this one taking it gingerly on the first run just to see how my calf would perform or if it could perform. Ran a 200m warm up with no problem. Took 4 steps into workout and something tweeked in the middle of my calf. Jake advised no running for 2 weeks.
So no Faction Games for me! 🙁

After working my leg with the roller and the lacrosse ball, did 4 rounds with kettlebell burpees (since I can’t jump due to my calf) – 15 reps – for completion.

oops. Rowed 500m then 15 KB burpees for 4 rounds. Typing on my BlackBerry gives me issues!

    • Kerri says:

Awww man, Karen, that really sucks!!
Hate that you’ve hurt your calf muscle, but hate even more that you won’t with us in Memphis…Rest up and heal up fast!!

Wow…what a WOD to return to after 2 weeks off drinking beer and getting reaquainted with family upon return from Kuwait. Thanks Jake for the continued encouragement despite my lack luster performance. Good to be back!

32:24 or something. I remember it being over 6 min slower than Penelope. She’s my rabbit for running/BW metcons. Got to find a slower rabbit.
