WOD
Run from the bottom of the Green Mountain power line trail to the top.
Time: 26:37
About 1/4 of the way up the mountain the trail just stopped, but I figured since I had gone that far I might as well go the rest of the way. The view at the top was well worth the run.
Read about half of today’s article and got pissed off, had to stop.
We are establishing yet another entitlement program. Removing personal responsibility for our decisions and giving more control to an ever expanding central Federal government. And don’t even get me started on the complete lack of concern for costs exhibited by most “Medicaid” patients. “It’s all free to me… I’ll have the works.” A complex bureaucracy with rationing is a necessity when the cost of care is no longer the responsibility of the consumer. At this very minute a “Medicaid” patient is in the ED wanting a pregnancy test, instead of going to any pharmacy for a $5 EPT. So, this $5 pregnancy test just cost you (dear tax payer) about a thousand dollars. (These patients are savy enough not to request a pregnancy test, that would not be covered by EMTALA, the chief complaint is always abdominal pain.) I saw this same sense of entitlement from Active Duty military, their families and Tricare beneficiaries. (Mostly from family members and retirees, not so much from the actual service members.) Whew, enough of that.
Caring for my sick kids today. Will try to do “Cindy” tonight… err… poor choice of words. BTW– thank all the veterans you know, and remember their service and sacrifice this Veteran’s Day. Thanks to all our Crossfit instructors and members who have and continue to serve in the Armed Forces.
Nasty looking workout! Oktoberfest games WOD with double-unders throw in. Uggh

Run-KBS-DU workout
